Bloodbath on Jabiim (Part 1)

Such an agreement was nothing less than a humiliation in the eyes of the people of Jabiim planet!

A man of immense drive and leadership emerged on Jabiim planet: Alto Stratus. In several public speeches, he fiercely condemned the Galactic Republic's greed.

"...We joined the Galactic Republic three thousand years ago! We gave them our loyalty, our resources, our labor! But now, our Homeworld has been drowned in blood!!"

"...When we were invaded by the Lycian pirates, where was the Republic?"

"...When we were enslaved by Trandoshan slave traders, where was the Republic?"

"...When the brain plague broke out and we lost half our people, where was the Republic?!!!!"

"...And now! Mineral veins have been discovered on Jabiim planet, and the Republic has come!! They brought rotten meat and moldy grain!! They want to 'aid' us with these things, then 'help' us mine the mineral veins!!"

"...What does the Republic want the ore for? They want to wage war! They want to build warships! They want to preserve their rule!!"

"But no! I want to tell them no!!! If our ore is to be used in a war, then I would rather it be used in a war to destroy the Republic!!"

"Let the Republic know the pain of families torn apart and homes destroyed!! Let the Republic know the pain of hunger and enslavement!!... We will return every last bit of that pain to them!!!"

Alto Stratus's speech rang out like thunder, successfully igniting the flames of resistance against the Republic across Jabiim planet.

Soon afterward, he launched a coup in the Jabiim capital city, massacring most of the current Jabiim government's senators who remained loyal to the Republic and were prepared to sign the unequal agreement of trading ore for food with the Republic.
