At Cobalt Camp, the headquarters of the Galactic Republic Army on Jabiim planet, an incomparably brutal battle of attack and defense was underway.

The Jabiimi National Army gathered its last strength—more than 25,000 soldiers, supported by over 10,000 remaining droids and more than 6,000 surviving Kig-Yar—and launched a final all-out assault on Cobalt Camp.

Neither side had any way out left, and both had exhausted their heavy equipment in the previous battles. This battle was, completely and utterly, a close-quarters brawl!

The Jabiimi National Army charged without fear of death. When droids stood ahead of them, they charged alongside the droids. When the droids in front were destroyed, they thrust out their chests and used their own bodies to shield the comrades behind them from deadly Blaster Beams.

The IG-227 Hailfire battle mechs had all been destroyed in Master Selius's desperate final counterattack. Now, the fire support provided by the only four remaining OG-9 Nest Spider battle mechs was limited. So the Jabiimi National Army soldiers clutched cluster bombs and launched human-wave charges at the Republic DF-9 anti-infantry turrets firing wildly at them!

The Republic army was also nearly at the end of its rope. With supplies failing to arrive, they had handed most of their equipment and ammunition to frontline units in order to sustain the force of their previous offensives. Most of those left behind at Cobalt Camp were wounded soldiers, troops rotated out after earlier battles, and Jabiim government forces soldiers with poor equipment and even poorer morale.

The most important reason the Republic's supplies had become so strained was General Grievous's Festival Offensive.
