Western Reaches Campaign: Super Soldiers
Rat-tat-tat! Rat-tat-tat!! Boom! Boom!!
A burst of dense gunfire and explosions came from ahead. The fighting was clearly intense.
Huang Yehao and Cummings led their troops into hiding within the jungle, coldly listening to the battle. It was happening too far away for them to see what was going on; they could only listen. Even through the satellite data linked to their Omni-tools, they could see only the radar signals ahead, not the battle's full details.

The Fourth Legion might have maintained an undefeated record against the Galactic Republic clone army in every battle, but that depended on who was being compared. These ordinary Fourth Civilization Army troops had fought Clone Troopers before. Clone Troopers were agile on the battlefield, dead shots, perfectly coordinated, physically tireless, disciplined to the letter, and utterly fearless.
Among all the armies in the Milky Way Galaxy, clone units were the only ones who dared to face the barrage of fire from robot armies and still launch attacks of their own.
When facing clone units on the battlefield, even the Fourth Civilization Army needed to assemble at least five times their strength to stand a chance of winning—and that was only assuming both sides had equal air support and firepower.
Yet given the Galactic Republic's national strength, they were generally never the side lacking air support or heavy equipment.
The battle at the artillery position continued. Gunfire and explosions still rang
