982, Chaotic Coruscant
"What happened?! Why did the power go out?!" After the prison lost power, the guards fell into even greater panic.
James Bond put on a terrified act as well and shouted, "No! No! At this rate, the prisoners will die in here! If Senator Tim dies here, none of us will escape responsibility!"
With the power out, communications had been completely cut off. When had these guards ever seen anything like this?!
The Milky Way Galaxy had been at peace for over a thousand years. Many of these guards had never even fired at a moving target, let alone faced an enemy attack. Even the scenarios simulated in their holographic combat trainers were probably complete nonsense.
"Quick! Smash open the controller!" Bond pointed at the iron door's control panel.
Two guards hurried over and smashed the controller to pieces with their rifle butts. The iron door immediately slid open without a sound. To prevent people from being trapped during power outages, all such automatic doors had this kind of mechanism.
Ainlee Tim had been hiding in a corner because of the gunfire outside. The guards rushed in and surrounded him, yet had no idea what they were supposed to do.
James Bond ran over and roared, "What are you doing? Get Senator Tim to the Senate right now!! The prison isn't safe anymore!!"
"Oh... right!" Several guards hurriedly helped Ainlee Tim to his feet.
The moment they heard they were going to the Senate, it immediately seemed perfectly reasonable. Ainlee Tim was one of the most prestigious senators in the Galactic Senate. Sending him there at a time like this had to be the safest option. And if blame came down afterward, it certainly would not fall on them.
"Where is there a ship?!" Bond asked again.
