"Where... where are we going?" Wesley asked.

"To get some things." Carlos led Wesley forward. "The situation is dangerous right now. We need to leave this place for a while."

"O... okay." Wesley was somewhat confused. "But isn't this the way to where I live...? Up ahead, past those tram tracks, isn't that where I live?"

"Yes." Carlos looked at the familiar place across from them, stopped, turned right, pulled out a key, unlocked the door to the house, and led Wesley inside.

"That's where you live. This is where I live."

Wesley's eyes widened.

He had never imagined that his father, Carlos, had been living directly across from him all these years, separated from him by nothing more than a set of tram tracks!

"Don't worry about that." Carlos sat Wesley down on the living room sofa, then took several chocolate bars from the refrigerator and handed them to him. "Eat something first."

While Wesley wolfed down the chocolate, Carlos took out several slices of pizza and heated them in the microwave.

He knew Wesley's current condition well, and he knew how it should be handled.
