Yan Zhao first appears as a one-armed sword cultivator in an interstellar black market. His knowledge of the Way of the Sword allows him to recognize incomplete Intercepting Sect cloud seals on a broken stele. By activating it with vital blood, he reveals binary code identified as the Quantum Hetu Luoshu and transforms the stele into a nanometer-sized bronze cauldron. 15

Lin Xiao’s holographic remnant emerges from the cauldron and asks Yan Zhao to reassemble 129,600 sword spirits by recovering the scattered Green Ping Sword fragments.
