Marnina had been the Solar Emperor for several centuries. Whenever something happened, he had an emperor's intuition, and that intuition was remarkably accurate!
Right now, he keenly sensed that something was wrong.
But he could not put his finger on exactly what was wrong.
Marnina suspiciously scanned the surroundings, focusing most of his attention on Alice.
However, after looking around, he found no problems. The little girl from the Silver Race really was adorable.
"Strange. What exactly is wrong?" Marnina frowned slightly.
Just then, something shimmering with brilliant blue light suddenly caught his attention.
The moment he saw it, Marnina froze. "Oh, so that's what's wrong. This thing is the problem!"
He focused all his attention on it.
It was the teleportation gate Alice had just emerged from, radiating dazzling azure light.
Teleportation gates were nothing unusual. Although this was an interstellar teleportation gate, Marnina had seen such things before. It was hardly worth making a fuss over.
What truly felt wrong to Marnina was that this teleportation gate was still open! It had not closed even now!
That really was not right!
Based on Marnina's limited knowledge of spatial studies, a teleportation gate generally closed immediately after transport was completed, mainly to conserve psionic energy.
Especially a cross-stellar teleportation gate like this one. Maintaining it in an active state consumed an enormous amount of psionic energy, at a cost that even ordinary God-tier Experts found difficult to bear.
So in theory, the teleportation gate should have closed the instant Alice stepped out of it.
Yet strangely, it had not closed even now. It remained open, maintaining the transport state.
What was going on?
There was no use asking others about this. If he wanted to uncover the truth, he had to investigate it himself.
Without anyone around noticing,
