Perrin Doyle and Angst Muhammad were the only two Western players in Shepherd Cloud Enemy's team that had launched the surprise attack on the Disintegration Ray Tower.
They shared one trait: severe defeatist tendencies.
They were convinced that Blue Star was doomed to lose.
No matter how rapidly Blue Star advanced or how powerful it became, it was as if they had been branded with an "ideological seal." They always believed that Blue Star Humans would be the ultimate losers of the war.
No form of psychotherapy worked, and this had kept them in constant torment.
Unexpectedly, Shepherd Cloud Enemy was the same.
Lowering his head, Shepherd Cloud Enemy muttered, "I also have severe 'defeatist tendencies.' I know the United Government has made extremely thorough preparations for the war, and I know we no longer lose to the Skrulls in terms of high-end combat power... but for some reason, I still feel that we're going to lose."
Shepherd Cloud Enemy clutched his head, his fingers tightly gripping his hair.
Seeing his expression, Su Yu could clearly feel his pain.
Su Yu said helplessly, "But have you ever considered that we really can win? Why can't you have a little more faith in humanity?"
"I want to, but..."
Shepherd Cloud Enemy trailed off. He truly did not know how to describe the conflicting emotions in his heart.
Su Yu said nothing either, quietly waiting for him to calm down.
About a minute later, Shepherd Cloud Enemy in the video call finally looked a little better.
He said to Su Yu, "Mr. Ke, my defeatist tendencies are incurable. I've never told anyone about them before.
"Just now, I took the risk of devising a bold plan to 'launch a surprise attack on the Disintegration Ray Tower.' It was originally a suicide mission.
