Refusing Infighting

"Infighting? Of course we won't engage in infighting." Legion Commander Darando and Speaker Lemo exchanged glances.

In the past, Feige Hub—especially its center of power—had been vaguely divided into three major factions: Speaker Lemo and Granden's faction, Legion Commander Darando's independent faction, and Director Soren and Lucia the Gem Dragon's faction.

The three factions balanced and restrained one another.

But this was no longer the time for infighting. Foreign enemies were on the verge of invasion, and continuing to fight among themselves would only make them look like fools.

"Fine. In the name of the Legion Commander, I guarantee that there will be no more acts of infighting from now on." Legion Commander Darando made the promise solemnly.

"I guarantee it as Speaker as well," Speaker Lemo added.

"So do we," Director Soren and Lucia the Gem Dragon said at the same time.

Director Soren added, "At least during this foreign invasion, any act of infighting should be jointly opposed by everyone. I trust no one objects?"

"Of course not."

"As we should."

"I have no objection."

Everyone voiced their agreement.

Ashley folded her arms and looked at her colleagues present. Smiling, she said, "In that case, I'll supervise all of you. If I notice any signs of disunity, I'll point them out immediately and ask everyone to oppose them together."

Granden said happily, "Since Ms. Ashley is willing to supervise us, that would be wonderful! I hereby solemnly guarantee that I will never carry out or take part in any infighting!"

Ashley had always openly refused to join any faction, nor would she form one of her own. Having her supervise them could not have been better.

Ashley nodded as well and looked at Granden. "Granden, there are still two points left. What else do you have to say?"
