Colony System
Morning Star understood now.
The five stars Sheng Ge had marked were all stars with colony worlds.
As for why she had marked those five stars, that went back to Triangulum's "Colony System":
The Crystal Blue Community had over ten thousand colony worlds in Triangulum, evenly distributed throughout the habitable zones of stars on the galaxy's outskirts.
However, there had not been so many colony worlds in the beginning.
At first, there had only been one or two. They gradually developed into more than a dozen, and over several million years, they slowly took shape, eventually reaching a total of two thousand.
After their numbers reached two thousand, the development of Crystal Blue's colony worlds entered a stagnant period.
For the nearly one million years that followed, Crystal Blue did not increase the number of its colony worlds.
These two thousand colony worlds were also known as the "first batch of colony worlds."
The Grella-13 where they were located was one of the first batch of colony worlds.
Over the following million years, the Mechs carried out construction on the various colony worlds, raising and enslaving Carbon-based life.
As the scale of the Carbon-based life gradually took shape, they began producing Psionic energy in an endless stream.
More than half of the Psionic energy produced was sent back to the Crystal Blue Star System, while the remaining quarter stayed on the colony worlds for the local Mechs' research.
Psionic energy had originally had nothing whatsoever to do with the Mechs. It was unique to Carbon-based life, and only Carbon-based life could absorb and use it.
Silicon-based lifeforms, those big lumps of metal, were innately incompatible with Psionic energy due to their electronic components. In theory, they should have been unable to use it.
But that could not withstand
