Ji Yan woke in the grotesque Dungeon [Weird End Nightmare], where humans ruled and preyed on ghouls, and learned that the chess players were scattered across a city governed by sixty-four powerful players. He, Zuo Yang, and Kong Yi were placed together in the Scarlet Mary district at the city’s outer edge, while their missions remained unknown.

• Ji Yan surveyed the bizarre city and realized that the Dungeon combined collapsed order with a world where humans outranked ghouls.
• Zuo Yang explained that Ji Yan and Old K had arrived with him, then ate ghoul snacks while Ji Yan refused to eat a disguised ghoul posing as beef jerky.
• Kong Yi told Ji Yan that the three of them were assigned to the Scarlet Mary district and that the other chess players were spread across different districts.
• Kong Yi explained that the city served as a chessboard, with their current coordinates at 2, 2 in the corner-star region.
• Zuo Yang said that sixty-four original Dungeon players had claimed their own zones and that their thoughts created the rules governing the city.

Ji Yan learned the rules of the Final Battlefield, where Chess Players assimilated Nightmare domains and fought to control the board. After hearing that Black Chess was badly outnumbered and losing territory, Ji Yan and his companions prepared to capture a nearby domain.

• Zuo Yang explained how Chess Players could be eliminated, how code names could be stolen, and how enemy control of neighboring domains could swallow Exile Domains.
• Kong Yi reported that White Chess had seventeen players to Black Chess's nine and led in domain assimilation by nine to two.
• Kong Yi identified a nearby large Nightmare domain at their corner coordinates as their next target, but a Game Panel appeared before Zuo Yang could finish addressing Ji Yan.

Ji Yan, Kong Yi, and Zuo Yang entered a large-scale [Nightmare] domain themed [Primal Bloodshed] to face rival Chess Players. As the banquet began, the opposing team prepared to use [M]'s Term Talent to switch out one of their opponents.

• Ji Yan, Kong Yi, and Zuo Yang received [Night Burial Maitreya]'s mission directive to raid the District 13 domain before the third eerie eye opened.
• The three traveled through the ruined city as Zuo Yang explained how [Nightmare] domains and their games worked.
• At the domain, a Tier 9 eerie shadow told them to wait until all guests had arrived, and Kong Yi warned that failing would be fatal because rival [White Chess Players] were involved.

• Ji Yan and Kong Yi observed that the White Chess Players were ravenously eating seafood, so Ji Yan, Xu Xin, and Kong Yi joined them in the eating contest.
• The Butler Ghosts ended the banquet, cleared the table, and explained that the host and guests would exchange pleasantries next.
• District 13’s Initial Player appeared and described his game, All Beings Are Equal, in which people trapped without support or weapons were driven by primal desires and food.
• The Initial Player declared that he wanted the six players to perform for him through a bloody struggle, while Kong Yi accepted his rules and asked how they would play.

As Xu Xin searched Ji Yan’s memories for Kong Yi, V urged Mo Yu and N to kill Kong Yi, even if it erased the codename K.
