Monger walked dejectedly through the settlement streets, the Scarlet Dagger that had been blessed anew by the angels hanging from his waist.

The mutant residents around him all stopped and nodded respectfully to Monger.

Some were covered in huge tumors, others bore festering sores, while parasites writhed amid the flesh and blood of still others. Without exception, they had all received the blessings of the Plague God Angels.

Monger returned each greeting in turn.

Seeing the residents receive ever more blessings eased some of the gloom in his heart.

Recently, the Four-Armed Emperor Cult's activities had become increasingly strange.

On the surface, they zealously recruited people into the cult, but in secret, they used all manner of deformed monsters to capture residents of the lower hive.

No one knew what they wanted with so many people.

The last time he had risked a trip to the lower hive, he had recovered that ancient triangular sword from the abandoned Old Sector Eight.

Back then, the Corpse Guild had spread plague across an entire district and sacrificed the sick. Although the ritual had ultimately been interrupted, that triangular sword had still accumulated immense power.

Under the angels' guidance, Monger, Malkit, and all the settlement's mutants had received even more blessings.

But Monger knew that the triangular sword was only a key.

A key alone could not bring the true blessing into reality.

They still needed to find that "door."

Yet the mutants under Monger and Malkit had searched every area under their control. They had even fought with some Orks that had gotten lost in the pipes, but they still had not found the door's location.

That meant the door could only be within the Four-Armed Emperor Cult's territory.

That was troublesome.
