It was a face shaped by dense forests, colossal beasts, darkness, and the savagery far removed from human society. His skin was pale but rough, his nose long and hawkish, his deep-set eyes beastlike, his mouth cold as a blade, and his jaw as sharp as the broken edge of hammered igneous rock.
