Fabius's roar formed a kind of echo in the Warp, surging and reverberating through it, drawing the gazes of those entities lurking within.

Steel, fire, glass, and keel were instantly ripped to pieces, exposing a bright red drop of blood to the Warp.

Many daemons held their breath, staring greedily yet fearfully at that scorching drop of blood. They could all sense the extraordinary power contained within it.

Samples from the twenty-one primarchs as they had existed before being born into the Material Universe remained within that drop of blood, as did samples of the genetic sequences they had possessed after entering reality.

From the shadows emerged a grotesque, distorted mouthpart that seemed to combine the traits of millions of lifeforms, and it slurped up the blood.

The ruby-like blood trembled slightly, then ruptured. The gene sequences within it, along with samples of twenty Warp powers, were swallowed by the Hive Mind's shadow.

For a moment, a surging echo spread through the Warp, reality, and even the Webway.

Within the Webway, Chagatai Khan, who had been hunting Dark Eldar, slightly raised his head. A Dark Eldar let out a shrill howl and took the opportunity to weave a string of vicious Warp spells, hurling them at Chagatai Khan.
