Tai Cang fought off the Demon Realm cultivators with the Sky-Opening Sword, revealing power strong enough to kill more than ten quasi-saints with one strike. The Demon Realm, Dragon Clan, and Qilin Clan then prepared to unite against him, while the Phoenix Clan withdrew and left the confrontation unresolved.
Tai Cang slaughtered the demonic path, Dragon Clan, and Qilin Clan attackers, leaving the Phoenix Clan unharmed. After the Phoenix Clan sought the Primordial Grand Unity method, Tai Cang made them agree to steep terms and sent them away to consult Kong Xuan and Great Peng.
Tai Cang learned why the River of Destiny had expelled him and was urged by the Three Pure Ones to establish a new faction after the Witch-Demon calamity. He began a breakthrough in seclusion at Yuding’s valley, and a vast heavenly tribulation gathered as he advanced toward the Primordial Grand Unity Golden Immortal Realm.
Tai Cang endured the Primordial Lightning Tribulation, transformed his innate foundation, and manifested the Pangu True Body, shocking the Three Purities, the Twelve Ancestral Witches, and powerful cultivators across the primordial world. As he destroyed the successive law lightning bolts, the final Chaos Divine Lightning began to gather.
Tai Cang survived the Chaos lightning tribulation and broke through to the early stage of the Primordial Grand Unity Golden Immortal realm after mastering the Law of Spacetime. He explained that a cultivator’s chosen primary law determined their strength, but concealed his true law and told the gathered experts that he cultivated space.
The Three Pure Ones, Nuwa, the Demon Race, and Hong Yun plotted to provoke the Ancestral Witches into fighting, after learning that Pangu’s remnant soul might awaken within the Witch Clan. Hong Yun proposed using the Qiankun Cauldron to conceal the Three Pure Ones’ auras, and Laozi prepared to seek the Dao Ancestor’s permission to borrow it.
Tai Cang accompanied Laozi to the Purple Cloud Palace, where the Heavenly Dao forbade the Three Pure Ones from destroying the Witch Clan and questioned Tai Cang about his ambitions. Hongjun accepted Tai Cang's loyalty to the Cang Sect, and the sect's fortune descended upon him, letting him master numerous laws.
Hongjun gave Tai Cang the Qiankun Cauldron and explained the Heavenly Dao’s plans for the Witch Clan, Shi Hao, and the coming Dao transformations. Back at Primordial Clarity Palace, Laozi and the others began refining the Three Pure Ones’ primordial spirits, but the Twelve Ancestral Witches arrived seeking Tai Cang’s Primordial Grand Unity Golden Immortal method.
Tai Cang arrived at Jade Void Palace and refused the Twelve Ancestral Witches’ request for the Primordial Grand Unity method, then drove them away with his overwhelming power. After Tai Cang excluded Randeng from a celebration with the Twelve Golden Immortals, the Ancestral Witches suspected he had learned the Spirit of Heaven Opening’s secrets and resolved to prepare for a fight to the death.
At Primordial Clarity Palace, Tai Cang helped the Three Pure Ones and the Demon Race prepare a plan against the ancestral witches, while Hong Yun joined their alliance in exchange for support for the Earth Immortal Dao. Tai Cang explained the paths beyond the Primordial Grand Unity Golden Immortal, then left to meet Kong Xuan, who had requested an audience.
Tai Cang learned that Duobao had secretly allied with the Western Two Sages and was undermining the Jie Sect, so he hurried to Golden Ao Island with Kong Xuan. There, Kong Xuan arrested the disorderly disciples and imposed severe punishments, while the crowd watched in shock as he attacked a Grand Unity Golden Immortal who resisted.
Tai Cang exposed Duobao’s role in inciting violence on Golden Ao Island and ordered Kong Xuan to arrest the conspirators. As the captives confessed that Duobao had recruited expelled Jie Sect disciples, Zhao Gongming realized he had been drawn into a serious betrayal.
Tai Cang exposed Duobao’s betrayal of the Jie Sect and sentenced him to death, but Zhunti intervened and tried to recruit Kong Xuan. Tai Cang stopped Zhunti’s attack and stood against the Sage as Kong Xuan guarded Duobao.
Tai Cang challenged Zhunti after Zhunti tried to convert Jie Sect disciples, then fought him in the Chaos and gained the upper hand. As their battle drew the attention of powerful figures, Kunpeng infiltrated Witch Clan territory under Nuwa’s cover and presented Zhurong with the Water-Fire Treasure Saber.
Kunpeng’s scheme drove Zhurong and Gonggong into a fatal clash, leading to their deaths and the collapse of Buzhou Mountain, which plunged the Witch Clan into catastrophe. After the Three Pure Ones celebrated the Witch Clan’s decline, Tai Cang ended his fight with Zhunti by revealing the Pangu True Body and defeating him with one punch.
Tai Cang defeated and wounded Zhunti, forcing the Western Teachings to compensate him and agree not to interfere in Duobao’s fate. He then agreed to explain the Primordial Grand Unity Golden Immortal realm at the Sun Palace, where news arrived that the Witch Clan’s internal conflict had killed two Ancestral Witches and caused the Heavenly River to flood the Primordial World.
After the Witch Clan shattered the weakened heavens, the Saints struggled to prevent the Primordial World from collapsing until Hongjun ordered them to gather Five-Colored Stones and use the Warehouse Turtle’s limbs as a new Heavenly Pillar. Tai Cang and Hong Yun went to the North Sea to find the turtle, and Tai Cang discovered it was astonishingly enormous.
Tai Cang and Hong Yun confronted Warehouse Turtle, whose strength far surpassed theirs, and Tai Cang bargained for the turtle’s four limbs by promising to reveal a path to a higher realm. After giving Warehouse Turtle the method of gathering all three thousand laws, Tai Cang proposed destroying his body so his primordial spirit could escape and be reborn in a new form.
Tai Cang killed Warehouse Turtle to claim his origin while swearing to protect the turtle’s rebirth, then returned to help Nuwa repair the sky. After the Five-Colored Stone proved effective but insufficient, Di Jun called for more and urged the Saints to punish the Witch Clan, leaving Jieyin and Zhunti to deflect the decision to Laozi.
Tai Cang brought the ten Ancestral Witches to Buzhou Mountain, where Nuwa finished repairing the sky and Primordial forged four Heavenly Pillars to stabilize the world. Laozi ended the sages’ dispute with the Witch Clan by requiring its Great Witches to channel the floodwaters into the Four Seas, and Dijiang agreed before raising one final matter.
Dijiang and the Three Pure Ones agreed to contest ownership of Pangu’s True Lineage, with Laozi setting the final battle for one hundred years later at Kunlun Mountains. The Ancestral Witches departed confident, while Laozi returned to Kunlun with Tai Cang, Yuan Shi, and Tongtian and summoned his disciples.
