Julian looked completely baffled and asked with an utterly puzzled expression, "What do you mean, you caught up to me? Kid, that isn't funny."

Gion replied, "I want to join your Flame Dragon Pirates." Julian was not surprised. Everywhere he went, there were crowds of people wanting to join the Flame Dragon Pirates. He asked, "What skills do you have? Any specialties?"

Gion thought for a moment. "I'm very good at cooking. Culinary arts are my specialty." Julian smiled. "Then keep being a cook. Room and board included, ten thousand Berries a month. What do you think?" Gion smiled. "Really? I can join the Flame Dragon Pirates?" Julian asked, "What's your name?" Gion replied, "My name is Xiaoya." Julian carefully looked Gion over.

Julian secretly thought, There really wasn't a beauty named Xiaoya in the pirate world. I'd definitely never heard of her. He muttered, "Still, there are countless islands in the pirate world, and beauties make up half of them. I'll just treat this as recruiting another ridiculously beautiful employee."

As Julian looked at Gion's face and figure, he secretly thought, She looks about on par with Alice. Each has her own charm. Her legs are way too long. Julian was delighted. Gion secretly thought, Another person who wants to become like Whitebeard. When will the Sea ever be peaceful? Yet her eyes still showed the adoring look of a fangirl. Julian found her fangirl expression amusing, though Gion was merely acting. Julian prepared to put on a show and said, "I want to change the rot in this world. Look at those Celestial Dragons, every last one of them is like a vampire. Look at those kingdoms—their corruption is nauseating. Our pirate crew is a righteous pirate crew. My brothers all come from ordinary families. I'll lead my brothers to carve out a bright and peaceful age." By the end, Julian almost believed it himself, and his Conqueror's Haki flared in accompaniment.
