Background / History

The Ten Thousand Beasts Sect split from Luan Phoenix Palace. It originally served as Luan Phoenix Palace’s peripheral force, but—supported by the palace—migrated to the Eastern Qi Continent over ten thousand years ago, where it became a major sect occupying a vast territory. Unlike Luan Phoenix Palace, which recruits only female cultivators, the Ten Thousand Beasts Sect accepts cultivators regardless of gender. 623

Its traditional path centers on spirit pets. Sect disciples commonly fight alongside contracted beasts, giving a cultivator and spirit pet the effective combat strength of two same-rank cultivators. The sect’s research into spirit-beast bloodlines, breeding, and advancement is among the strongest in the Cultivation World. 476 518 828

Li Shiming joined after Grandmaster Jiang Hong invited him to enter under an oath. The sect accepted his request to protect Wuqing Mountain in return for past assistance, then provided him with a peak, a Fourth Grade Spirit Spring, and spiritual-plant space. 488 490 His later rise as an alchemy grandmaster and combatant became central to the sect’s expansion and eventual promotion. 811 1020

Factions

The sect contains more than ten factions, but the two strongest are defined by their spirit pets’ bloodlines: 492

• Dragon Faction — Named for dragon-vein spirit pets.
• Phoenix Faction — Named for phoenix-vein spirit pets; Grandmaster Jiang Hong belongs to this faction, and Li Shiming entered it through him. 492

Cultivation Paths

• Spirit-pet cultivation is the sect’s mainstream inheritance. Its secret arts improve coordination between cultivators and their spirit pets. 1031
• Thunder cultivation expanded after the sect acquired the complete Jade Purity Sect inheritance. By its promotion to super-sect status, it had nearly a thousand Thunder Cultivators. 1020

• Ten Thousand Beasts Blessed Land — An enormous blessed land entered through a Space Gate. Visitors have ten days to search for and contract a suitable spirit pet before automatic expulsion. 518
