Two more chefs were cooking beside Konan.

Clearly, Konan knew Hyuga Bin had arrived and intended to make something special just for him.

"Konan-kun, what are you making?" Hyuga Bin walked over to Konan and asked.

"I'm preparing miso soup." Konan looked up and gave Hyuga Bin an angelic smile.

Then she thought of the sushi and asked him, "Bin-kun, there's some prepared sushi. Would you like to try it?"

For a combination of reasons—his favorable first impression, the rescue, the name he had given her, Yahiko often mentioning him, and more—Konan felt close even to Hyuga Bin, whom she had only met for the second time.

"Sure." Hyuga Bin replied with a smile.

Konan picked up a piece of sushi, placed it on a small plate, and handed it to Hyuga Bin.

Hyuga Bin put the sushi into his mouth, chewed, swallowed, and gave Konan a thumbs-up. "Delicious."

"If it's good, have a few more." Smiling, Konan picked up several more pieces of sushi, placed them on the plate, and handed it to Hyuga Bin.

Hyuga Bin did not stand on ceremony and began eating right away.

As he ate, he did not forget to praise Konan.

"Konan-kun is such a wonderful homemaker. Yahiko-kun is so lucky to be dating such a great girlfriend. It really makes people jealous."

In the original story, Yahiko and Konan liked each other in the later stages, but he did not know whether they had actually started dating. Since he was here, he decided to find out.

"I'm not dating Yahiko." At Hyuga Bin's words, Konan's pretty face visibly reddened.

She and Yahiko did have feelings for each other, but because of Nagato Uzumaki, neither of them had pierced through that hazy layer of affection, and they had decided not to date.

Hyuga Bin, Konan, Yahiko, and Nagato Uzumaki sat facing one another.

Lunch that day included grilled fish, sushi, miso soup, pickles...

For a newly established organization, they were living quite well.

After they finished discussing the matter, the atmosphere between them became somewhat heavy.

Yahiko had considered this issue before, but he had never imagined it would be as serious or as precise as Hyuga Bin had described.

"Let's talk about something lighter." Seeing the urgency his words had stirred in Yahiko, Hyuga Bin decided to change the subject again. "Yahiko-kun, before lunch, I asked Konan if she was still single. Why haven't you confessed to her?"

"Actually, Nagato likes Konan too. If Konan and I got together, I'm worried Nagato would be very upset." Yahiko voiced his concerns.

"I think Nagato-kun would understand. You're best friends, after all." Hyuga Bin did not agree with Yahiko's reasoning.

Rather than supposedly doing it for Nagato's sake, he felt that laying everything out in the open would be better for everyone.

"Besides Nagato, I have another reason of my own. I'm worried that after I start dating Konan, one day I might suddenly die and leave this world. Then Konan might never like anyone again. I hope that even if I'm gone, she can still have a chance at happiness..."

Yahiko held nothing back and spoke all the thoughts in his heart.

"Bin-kun, if that day really comes, could you occasionally help me look after Konan and Nagato when you have time?"
