John and Kafei'er exchanged a look, their hearts filled with shock and anger. They understood that these people were no ordinary bandits, but participants in a larger conspiracy.
"We can't let them succeed!" John said in a low voice, determination gleaming in her eyes.
"We need to make a plan and stop them!" Kafei'er echoed.
The two quickly discussed matters and decided on a preemptive strategy.
Before those people could act, they would capture the bandits first and protect the town.
"We can use the cover of night to get close to them quietly," Kafei'er suggested. "Then we can set an ambush and strike once they come near."
At that moment, the two of them were completely immersed in the joy of role-playing.
Other people could only use novels and films to imagine themselves in Another World.
At most, they had games.
Yet none of it was real enough, nor could they write a story that truly belonged to themselves.
"Good idea!" John nodded in agreement. "We need to distract them and make them lower their guard."
Thus, the two quickly worked out a plan.
They decided that Kafei'er would serve as bait to draw those people's attention, while John prepared an ambush nearby.
"Why am I the bait?" Kafei'er was somewhat dissatisfied.
"Hey, you're an adult. I'm a child," John reminded her.
"No, we're the same now. We settle it with rock-paper-scissors," Kafei'er shouted.
Kafei'er, or rather Zhao Han, had clearly become engrossed in her role. She actually dared to play rock-paper-scissors with a god of Illusion Arts...
John, or Little Illusion, naturally agreed without hesitation.
And so, as expected, Kafei'er, or Zhao Han, lost all ten rounds.
"I'm such an idiot. I actually forgot what your background is," Kafei'er, or Zhao Han, said resentfully.
