History

The Heavenly Realm Division was established more than two centuries before the current story. Its long conflict with demons and human traitors has cost it many high-ranking Wardens, including during its previous war against the Black Lotus Cult 12.

In the third year of Mingxing, the Divisions of Ji Province and You Province jointly exterminated a Third-Rank great demon and completed the cleansing of Yandang Mountain 4.

As Black Lotus Cult activity and demon incidents intensified, Director Nangong Yu ordered eighty percent of the Wardens to be dispatched for suppression. Pacification Commissioners and regional Wardens were instructed to eliminate suspected cultists and demons on sight 12.

Following Wei Qing’s Qingcheng assessment, the Division recognized his ability and gave him the treatment of a full Warden, access to a Profound-tier technique and Qi Gathering Pills, and covert Sixth-Rank protection while he remained in the city 13. He was later formally recognized as a Guardian Envoy and temporarily appointed acting Magistrate of Lincheng 15.
