Background / History

Murata Himeko was called back from vacation aboard the Hyperion when a large-scale Honkai outbreak began in Changkong City. Despite initially protesting the interruption, she immediately treated the reported Herrscher-level Honkai concentration as the beginning of a renewed war against the Honkai. 12

As captain of the Fifth Squad and the Hyperion, Himeko participated in the operation against the Third Herrscher. When the Herrscher's lightning assault damaged the battleship, she rejected retreat and ordered the crew to prepare for direct engagement, even though the council's standing order was to capture the Herrscher alive. 27

Himeko descended to the Hyperion's bridge in crimson armor and confronted the Third Herrscher alone. By activating the NEXUS System and repeatedly raising its output, she destroyed incoming lightning spheres with her greatsword, but the strain and accumulated damage eventually left her barely able to stand. 28
