Background / History

Chu Haotian was born into the Chu Clan Divine Race’s collateral branch. His early cultivation was extraordinary: he could absorb spiritual energy before turning one, reached the Through Profound Realm at three, and entered the Spirit Body Realm at five. His discovery of the Grand Profound Divine Physique and Dragon Root Bone led many clan elders to regard him as a future Great Emperor and prospective Young Master of the clan. 209 210

The direct bloodline viewed his rise as a threat to its position. While still a child, Chu Haotian was abducted and forcibly stripped of his Grand Profound Divine Physique and Dragon Root Bone; both were transferred to his cousin, Chu Linglong. He lost his cultivation, became crippled, and was expelled from the clan, while his branch suffered prolonged political suppression and loss of resources. 210 214 216

Roughly a decade before his journey to Tianfeng Mountain Range, Chu Haotian found a strange ring containing Elder Lin. Elder Lin helped him restore his path of cultivation, guided him to secret-realm opportunities, and became both mentor and close companion. During this period, Chu Haotian repeatedly escaped assassination attempts by the Chu Clan’s direct lineage, including pursuits involving Divine Venerable Realm experts. 211 215

In Tianfeng Mountain Range, Chu Haotian used the Heaven Shaking Sword Array to eliminate bandits who had targeted the Liang family. He then pursued an inheritance in the range’s depths, seeking enough power to avenge himself against Chu Linglong and the direct bloodline. 209 211

He obtained the inheritance of the Thunder Hall’s former Hall Master, advancing to the Mid Divine Emperor Realm and acquiring the Thunder God Body. Elder Lin subsequently directed him toward Tianning City and the Heavenly Dao Golden Ranking Tournament, presenting it as his best route to gain recognition, destiny, and the strength necessary to oppose the Chu Clan Divine Race. 212 221

Appearance

Chu Haotian is a young man described as having a resolute face. 242

  • Wears the ring inhabited by Elder Lin. 230
  • Carries himself with controlled composure even when facing Chu Linglong and the Chu Clan’s experts. 223 229

Personality

Chu Haotian is driven foremost by revenge. The theft of his physique and root bone, the destruction of his branch’s security, and years spent fleeing the direct bloodline have left him with deep hatred toward Chu Linglong and the Chu Clan’s ruling branch. 210 211 228

Despite this hatred, he is restrained and pragmatic. He avoids provoking Qin Anlan without cause, recognizes when an opponent is beyond his present ability to defeat, and keeps escape options available when surrounded by stronger enemies. 231 232 234

Years of pursuit have hardened his will. He can conceal his emotions under pressure, endure hostile attention, and continue pursuing the Heavenly Dao Golden Ranking Tournament even after becoming a target for numerous factions. 223 242 247

Abilities & Skills

Thunder God Body

Chu Haotian inherited the Thunder God Body from the Thunder Hall’s former Hall Master. It enhances his body through heavenly lightning and allows him to draw on formidable thunder-based physical power. 221 233

  • His physical body surpassed ordinary Peak Divine Emperor Realm cultivators after receiving the inheritance. 221
  • He crushed a special stone that even Divine Venerable Realm cultivators would struggle to destroy through physical strength alone. 221
  • Divine Punishment Thunder can stimulate his body, dramatically increasing his strength and durability. 233
  • With the body activated, he can contend with Divine Venerable Realm cultivators through physical strength. 233
  • The physique is normally dangerous to control and can cause backlash, but Chu Haotian avoids this risk due to his destiny. 233

Ancient Thunder Hall Inheritance

Chu Haotian absorbed an ancient inheritance in Tianfeng Mountain Range, gaining both a major realm increase and the Thunder God Body. 221

  • Advanced from the Emperor Realm to the Mid Divine Emperor Realm in a single inheritance absorption. 221
  • Gained confidence to compete with the Heavenly Flame Empire’s leading young talents. 221
  • Cannot yet unleash the Thunder God Body’s full power. 221

Combat Experience and Survival

Repeated hunts by the Chu Clan Divine Race forced Chu Haotian to develop evasive tactics, vigilance, and the ability to turn dangerous encounters into opportunities. 211 215

  • Escaped dozens of assassination attempts, including attempts involving Divine Venerable Realm cultivators. 215
  • Concealed his restored cultivation from the direct bloodline for years. 229
  • Withstood Qin Anlan’s physical strike by activating the Thunder God Body, though he was injured and recognized Qin Anlan’s superiority in raw physical strength. 233 234

Former Grand Profound Divine Physique and Dragon Root Bone

Chu Haotian originally possessed the Grand Profound Divine Physique and Dragon Root Bone before they were taken by the direct bloodline. 210

  • The Grand Profound Divine Physique greatly accelerated spiritual-energy absorption, with its effect increasing as its user grew stronger. 209
  • Combined with the Dragon Root Bone, it improved his meridians, physique, and cultivation aptitude. 210
  • Both were transferred to Chu Linglong and are no longer part of Chu Haotian’s body. 210 214

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Heaven Shaking Sword Array — A Supreme Killing Treasure containing billions of swords; Chu Haotian can only use a fraction of its power, but that fraction was enough to annihilate a group of bandits. 209

  • Tattered Sack — A Pseudo Saint Artifact left by the Sword Immortal Great Emperor; it contains a wisp of the Great Emperor’s Sword Intent. 211
  • Black Token — A treasure acquired in Tianning City that seals the Divine Soul of an outer-realm great demon and may save Chu Haotian in a crisis. 228
  • Spatial Talisman — A final escape measure capable of teleporting him tens of thousands of miles away. 231

Relationships

  • Elder Lin — Ring-bound mentor and companion who restored Chu Haotian’s cultivation path, guided him to inheritances, and planned his route toward the Heavenly Dao Golden Ranking Tournament. 211 212 221
  • Chu Linglong — Cousin and sworn enemy; she received his stolen Grand Profound Divine Physique and Dragon Root Bone, while continuing to seek his death to protect the direct bloodline. 210 214 229
  • Chu Xiong — Patriarch of the Chu Clan Divine Race and Chu Linglong’s father; he supported sacrificing Chu Haotian’s future to strengthen his daughter and preserve the direct bloodline’s authority. 216
  • Fatty Wang — One of Tianning City’s Eight Great Stewards; he intervened when Chu Linglong attempted to kill Chu Haotian and prevented an immediate attack. 231 235
  • Qin Anlan — Young Lord of the Divine Marquis of Zhenguo’s Estate; he tested Chu Haotian’s strength, secretly injured him, and later publicized his unusual rise, drawing covetous attention from other prodigies. 232 236 243
  • Chu Haotian’s collateral branch — His birth branch, which was heavily suppressed and nearly destroyed after the direct bloodline seized his physique and root bone. 210 211
