With the blue cocoon, the research material for the long-hair battery was secured. One of Du Ke's main objectives for this trip through dimensions was now complete.
He put away the sealed box, and his Mind Armor quickly extended, forming a large piece of equipment. This was an air element analyzer, designed to better analyze if the Fantasy World was suitable for breathing. Due to its large size, he couldn't replicate it during his first trip. Now, with his Mind Power upgraded, he could finally replicate this air element analyzer to verify the air quality of the Fantasy World.
Samples were collected and analyzed.
Everything was operated by computer. Du Ke only needed to follow the instructions – he had operated it in the research institute before and was now quite proficient.
Soon, the results were analyzed.
"Nitrogen 68.42%, Oxygen 28.34%... Inert gases 0.856%, Water vapor 0.012%, Nitric oxide 0.007%, Nitrogen dioxide 0.005%, Carbon dioxide 0.052%..." Looking at the analysis results, Du Ke was very satisfied. "The air composition is almost identical to Earth's, with similar gas content. Hmm, the oxygen content is a bit higher, and the carbon dioxide is also slightly higher, probably similar to the air during the Dinosaur Era."
Modern Earth's air composition is about 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and only 0.0321% carbon dioxide. The air composition during the Dinosaur Era, according to analysis of air extracted from amber, might have had about 30% oxygen and significantly higher carbon dioxide than present day.
"It's perfectly breathable."
He opened the helmet visor of his Titanium Alloy Nano Armor and took a breath of the Fantasy World's air, finding it fresh and natural. He had actually taken a few breaths during his last trip; this time was just to reconfirm and add an extra layer of safety.
"But it's strange that I didn't find any special components in the air, especially the 'Magic Element' I speculated about. So, how do the creatures in this Fantasy World cast magic?"
This was a big question, and one of Du Ke's objectives for this dimensional trip.
He surveyed his surroundings and decided to change direction, moving away from the path of his first trip. He was frankly a bit afraid of that Horned Roc. He dared to fight a Death Worm head-on, but he couldn't handle the flying Horned Roc. He climbed directly onto the crown of a Blue Maple tree, secured a simple platform, and then materialized a drone.
He controlled the drone to ascend. The signal transmission was normal, and the drone captured high-definition images as it flew.
The drone quickly soared to an altitude of two hundred meters, offering a view of the surrounding terrain: "Hmm, I am indeed in a mountainous region, though 'hilly' might be more accurate... The Great Blue Forest stretches endlessly, covering at least ten thousand square kilometers? To the southwest, a large river runs through the Great Blue Forest, appearing and disappearing. To the southeast, there's another large river that converges with a huge lake to the south."
When the drone reached an altitude of eight hundred meters, the signal began to weaken, forcing Du Ke to stop ascending. However, even from this height, he could overlook an area of tens of thousands of square kilometers.
While controlling the drone to film, he also took out his laptop and began drawing on it with a stylus.
He sketched a simple map of the surrounding terrain, labeling each small hill and naming the two rivers and the lake. The area he was currently in, which didn't look like a valley but he decided to call it "Earth Valley"; the eastern hills were named East Mountain, followed by East One Mountain, East Two Mountain, East Three Mountain, and so on. The western hills were named West Mountain, the southern ones South Mountain, and the northern ones North Mountain, following the same pattern.
The two rivers were also named East River and West River, and the lake was named South Lake.
"The direction I took last time was towards the East River. This time, why not head towards South Lake? Maybe I'll encounter some Mushroom People." Du Ke reasoned that both animals and humans tend to prefer living near abundant water sources. "If time permits, it would be best to build a house in Earth Valley for a convenient base on my next trip." This was the only coordinate he had for dimensional travel.
As he was lost in thought, he suddenly noticed a magical phenomenon in the drone's camera feed on his laptop screen.
In the lower-left corner of the screen, there was a dazzling display of light. As he lowered the drone and zoomed in, he discovered two enormous monsters fighting each other, emitting various strange lights.
"Magic!"
"This... King Kong fighting Godzilla?"
One of the fighting monsters was as colossal as the King Kong from the movies, with a gorilla-like silhouette but thick, powerful arms and claws larger than an excavator's bucket. Its mouth even protruded two curved tusks like an elephant's, and various lights flashed on these tusks before transforming into flames, lightning, and wind. The other monster resembled Godzilla from the movies, also immense in size, even larger than King Kong.
It also looked like a giant lizard, with light emanating from the plate-like spikes on its back, transforming into ice shards and rocks.
The two colossal beasts engaged in close combat while simultaneously casting magic. The battle was ten, even a hundred times more thrilling than the struggles of wild beasts on Earth, as if it were equipped with special effects.
"Magic, real magic! This Fantasy World is definitely a magical world!" Du Ke exclaimed inwardly, continuously lowering the drone to capture closer footage of this colossal beast battle. "These creatures should be called Magic Beasts. Yes, Magic Beasts, these are Magic Beasts... King Kong wields Fire, Lightning, and Wind magic, while Godzilla wields Ice and Earth magic!"
At the same time, he heard roars from afar, but he couldn't distinguish whether they belonged to King Kong or Godzilla.
The battle lasted for a full three minutes. In the end, King Kong couldn't overcome Godzilla, and Godzilla couldn't defeat King Kong. The two Magic Beasts, heavily wounded, slowly stopped fighting and retreated into the tall forest, each in their own direction. After a few waves of trees rustling, the drone lost sight of them, and Du Ke had no idea where they had gone. Only then did Du Ke remotely pilot the drone back.
Still incredibly excited, he replayed the video several times. After much comparison, he decided to name the King Kong-like creature Behemoth. He recalled reading about a gorilla-like monster in Western legends called Behemoth. Godzilla was named Stegosaurus Lizard, due to its appearance combining features of a Stegosaurus and a lizard, especially the row of plate-like spikes on its back, which looked incredibly imposing.
However.
After watching the video, a thought suddenly struck him: "Judging by their size, the Behemoth is at least five meters tall, and coupled with its powerful Fire, Lightning, and Wind magic, if I encountered it... I'd be lucky to survive, let alone escape unscathed?" His most powerful weapons currently were various rifles and sniper rifles, but they were clearly no match for the Behemoth or the Stegosaurus Lizard, and probably couldn't even kill the Horned Roc.
"Magic Beasts are not ordinary animals. The Horned Roc has Fire Resistance Ring, but do the Behemoth and Stegosaurus Lizard not have defensive magic?"
"If only my Mind Armor could replicate magic!"
