Mo Lin's figure was like a silver fish swimming upstream, darting perilously through layer after layer of chaotic energy currents. Several bloody gashes from spatial fragments marked his body as he finally reached the center of the enormous energy halo and landed beside Zi Yan, who was wielding her dark golden spear with increasingly labored breaths.
"Mo Lin?! Why are you..." Zi Yan swept aside the West Dragon King's massive frost claw with a spear strike. Catching sight of the figure beside her, delight first burst from her dragon eyes before being replaced by gravity.
She could clearly sense that Mo Lin's aura was far less unfathomable than before. Instead, it carried the hollow weakness of someone strong only on the surface.
"Save the chatter!" Mo Lin spoke extremely quickly, his gaze sweeping like lightning over the Three Dragon Kings closing in once more. "I can tell you're preparing something. You need time, right?"
Zi Yan's delicate body trembled almost imperceptibly. She gave Mo Lin a deep look and did not deny it, only gritting her teeth. "But they won't give me that time!"
"You have it now!" Mo Lin stepped forward without hesitation, directly shielding Zi Yan behind him with his back facing the three terrifying auras powerful enough to make heaven and earth pale. "Prepare in peace. Leave this to me!"
"Are you insane?! They're the Three Dragon Kings! In your current state..." Zi Yan cried anxiously, her voice full of concern. She could tell Mo Lin was in terrible condition. This was practically suicide!
"Trust me!" Mo Lin did not turn around. His voice was low, yet it carried a strange, convincing power. "Just like before!"
Those words, "just like before," instantly struck the softest place in Zi Yan's heart.
She recalled too many things from the
