Sacred Source Peak, rear mountain cliff.
Amid swirling clouds and mist, Mo Lin stood alone at the cliff's edge, his hands clasped behind his back as he gazed at the roiling sea of clouds in the distance. His white robes fluttered lightly in the mountain wind, making his figure appear ever more tall and otherworldly.
His brows were slightly furrowed, as though he were pondering something. The mysteries of the Immortal Eye, the Black Robe Man's words, the vastness of the multiverse, and the uncertainty of his journey home... countless thoughts intertwined within his heart.
Footsteps came from behind him, steady and familiar.
"Mo Lin."
Mo Lin gathered his thoughts and turned around, only to see Elder Shen Taiyuan approaching slowly with a gentle smile on his face.
"Elder Shen." Mo Lin gave a slight nod.
Shen Taiyuan walked to his side and stood beside him, gazing out at the sea of clouds. He sighed. "Seeing how prosperous the peak has become these days, I sometimes feel as though a lifetime has passed. We have you to thank for all of this."
Mo Lin smiled. "It is merely my duty. Elder Shen overpraises me."
Shen Taiyuan waved his hand, his expression turning solemn. "I came to see you about two matters. First, the allocation of the Profound Origin Cave Heaven slots. Although our peak received the most slots this time, after careful consideration, I kept only ten and gave the rest to the other six peaks."
He looked at Mo Lin and explained, "The Profound Origin Cave Heaven is fraught with danger. Ordinary disciples cannot set foot there. Our peak's foundation is still shallow. If we forcibly send too many disciples, it may bring disaster rather than fortune, leading to losses and criticism. It is better to give some away.
