Xiao Yan and Hun Ruoruo fought the Soul Hall and Han Feng before Xiao Yan claimed the Sea Heart Flame and entered the Falling Heart Flame’s lair. They remained trapped underground as Xiao Yan refined the flame and Hun Ruoruo confronted the return of her Divine Bloodline.

• Hun Ruoruo chose the Soul Splitting Method to separate Xiao Cai and urged the Snake People Tribe to secure its own survival, while Xiao Yan and Hun Ruoruo prepared a trap for Han Feng.
• Han Feng attacked Jia Nan Academy with the Black Corner Region forces and Soul Hall, but Hun Ruoruo revealed her Dou Zong power and Old Man Yao exposed himself as the Flame Soul Emissary before Xiao Yan defeated Han Feng.
• Mu Gu tried to seize Han Feng and the Sea Heart Flame, but Xiao Yan and Hun Ruoruo fought back, and Xiao Yan entered the twisted space to stop Mu Gu escaping.
• Xiao Yan combined four Heavenly Flames into a Fire Lotus, while Hun Ruoruo aided him with Xuan Yuan, and Xiao Yan claimed the Sea Heart Flame, then Zi Yan found and returned him to Hun Ruoruo.
• When the Falling Heart Flame erupted from the ruined tower, Xiao Yan entered its lair to seize its Fire Seed, and Hun Ruoruo followed him inside.

Xiao Yan and Hun Ruoruo recovered from the Heavenly Flames, returned to Jia Nan Academy, and led its forces against the Gold Silver Alliance. After reuniting with Xiao Yi Xian, Hun Ruoruo reconsidered her feelings for Xiao Yan, and the arc ended with the two sharing a quiet moment beneath the night sky.

• Xiao Yan and Hun Ruoruo emerged from the Heart Flame World after more than half a year, with Xiao Yan reaching Dou Wang and later breaking through to Dou Huang while Hun Ruoruo rose to mid-stage Dou Zong.
• Mu Gu revealed that the Hall Master had forbidden attacks on Jia Nan Academy, then joined Star Seizer in pursuing Heavenly Flames, and Xiao Yan and Hun Ruoruo returned to the academy and reunited with Xiao Yu and Zi Yan.
• Xiao Yan found a small piece of white cloth in Hun Ruoruo’s Storage Ring, while Hun Ruoruo began learning alchemy with his guidance and successfully refined her first Bigu Pill.
• Su Qian told Xiao Yan and Hun Ruoruo that the Gold Silver Alliance had seized Maple City, so they divided their forces to attack the Blood Sect and Maple City.
• Xiao Yan and Jia Nan Academy’s elders trapped the Gold Silver Elders at the Blood Sect, but Gold Elder escaped until Xiao Yi Xian appeared and killed him.
• Hun Ruoruo destroyed the Black Emperor Sect forces in Maple City, killed Mo Tianxing, and joined Xiao Yan and Xiao Yi Xian before returning with them to the Inner Academy.
• Xiao Yi Xian helped Hun Ruoruo recognize that her feelings for Xiao Yan had changed, then left the courtyard after speaking privately with her.
• Hun Ruoruo told Xiao Yan what Xiao Yi Xian had said, and he followed her to a mountaintop where they talked under the night sky and she invited him to rest on her lap.

Hun Ruoruo and Xiao Yan parted ways as he set out to grow stronger and investigate Soul Hall, while she traveled with Xiao Yi Xian and Zi Yan to seek clues about her mother. At Starfall Pavilion, Hun Ruoruo reunited Old Man Yao with Venerable Feng and took on the role of chief disciple to pursue the Sound Valley matter.

• Hun Ruoruo and Xiao Yan grew closer, and she promised to help him reunite with his parents while he promised to help her find her mother.
• Old Man Yao awakened and helped Hun Ruoruo learn that replenishing her vitality had delayed her Divine Bloodline’s awakening, then accompanied her to retrieve a second Falling Heart Flame.
• Hun Ruoruo, Xiao Yan, Xiao Yi Xian, and Zi Yan set out for the Central Continent, where Xiao Yan announced he would go to Soul Hall and then parted from Hun Ruoruo to cultivate alone.
• Hun Ruoruo brought Xiao Yi Xian and Zi Yan to Starfall Pavilion, where Xiao Yi Xian subdued Bing Hong and Venerable Feng killed him after he threatened to abduct her.

Hun Ruoruo and Xiao Yan each pursued power and answers, then reunited briefly at the Heavenly Mountain Blood Pool before Xiao Yan infiltrated a Soul Hall branch to investigate Sound Valley. Xiao Yan found the captured Sound Valley disciple Mo Yi, but had to leave when a Venerable Elder arrived.

• Hun Ruoruo intimidated Feng Qing'er with Ancient Void Dragon essence blood, then used Feng Qing'er's heart’s blood in a dangerous medicinal bath to strengthen her awakening bloodline.
• Xiao Yan infiltrated the Soul Hall and learned from Protector Ying about a group with exceptional Soul Force, which he suspected was Sound Valley.
• Hun Ruoruo accompanied Mu Qingluan to the Heavenly Mountain Blood Pool, while Xiao Yan entered the secret realm to investigate its Beast Soul Treasury.
• Xiao Yan found Hun Ruoruo unconscious beneath the pool and rescued her, but she woke and mistook him for a Soul Hall Protector before he escaped.
