Pam was helplessly held in March 7th's arms. She truly loved hugging Pam, whose touch felt wonderful. Fluffy, fragrant, and with the distinct vibe of a lop-eared rabbit, Pam was indeed hard for girls to resist.
"What?! There are so many Stellar Jades! This is wonderful, pa!"
Pam no longer cared about being held by March 7th. When Himeko took out some Stellar Jade and gave it to Pam, Pam's eyes gleamed as she grabbed the Stellar Jade and giggled foolishly.
"It seemed that ever since passenger Theresa boarded the train, things had been going smoothly for the train, pa!"
Pam excitedly looked at Theresa, who was holding a Puppet, and shouted. But if Pam wasn't mistaken, the Puppet Theresa was holding should have been one of Herta's automatons, right?
"What is this?"
Pam pointed at the Herta automaton being carried bridal-style by Theresa and asked in surprise.
"Hehe, that's a benefit I secured for myself. And she can even help you clean, Conductor Pom-Pom."
Theresa eagerly introduced Herta's automaton to Pam.
"Apparently, it has many functions we haven't discovered yet, excluding the improper ones."
Dan Heng looked at the Herta automaton and explained it to Pam.
Welt also told Pam about everything that had happened during their trip to the Space Station.
"So that's what happened. The Space Station was actually invaded by the Antimatter Legion, pa. Does that mean she's a new member of the Stellaron Hunters?"
Pam struggled free from March 7th's embrace, hopped down, then waddled over to Stelle's feet with little slapping steps. Looking up, Pam examined Stelle and asked.
"Hello, I'm a Stellaron Essence less than two days old. Stelle, Conductor Pom-Pom."
Influenced somewhat by Theresa, Stelle also gave a slightly improper self-introduction.
"Huh? What do you mean, less than two days old?"
"And what the heck is a Stellaron Essence, pa?"
Pam was instantly dumbfounded.
Himeko smiled and explained Stelle's origins to Pam. Once Pam learned that Stelle really was a Stellaron Essence, Pam went numb.
But then Pam thought of how March 7th was Humanoid Six-Phased Ice, Dan Heng's nature was unclear, Himeko and Welt were definitely human, and Pam still hadn't fully understood Theresa. Now there was even a Stellaron Essence.
"Also, Conductor, I need to tell you something. I hope you won't be scared."
Theresa handed the Puppet to the eagerly waiting Stelle, then spoke to Pam. Stelle happily fiddled with the Herta automaton, while March 7th giggled and leaned over to play with it alongside Stelle.
"Ha! This conductor would be scared? Passenger Theresa, what kind of joke is that? Even if I jumped out of the train, this conductor wouldn't be scared, because I really can't jump out!"
Pam patted its chest with its fluffy hands—or were they paws?—and shouted calmly.
"Here it comes! Conductor Pom-Pom is definitely going to get scared by Theresa!"
March 7th said excitedly as she played with the Herta automaton. Stelle, meanwhile, touched the automaton all over, since she had no idea where to press to turn it on.
Dan Heng, Welt, and Himeko began watching to see whether Pam would be scared. Pam had once told them that Aha, the Aeon of Joy, had hidden for an entire year just to blow up the train. When Pam was at its most relaxed, Aha blew the train into two halves. The Astral Express's exterior was reinforced by Trailblaze Power and was indeed very sturdy, but the inside was another matter.
The broken rear half of the train fell onto the planet where Himeko's hometown was located. Only after she repaired it could they set out on the Trailblaze once more. And no one knew when Pam had first appeared on the train.
"Actually, when I took part in Herta's Simulated Universe invitation test at the Space Station, I encountered Aha, the Aeon of Joy. I don't know whether it was Aha's true form or not, but Aha bestowed power upon me and turned me into an Envoy of Joy."
Theresa's words made Pam gape in shock.
"Whoa, don't come any closer, pa!"
Pam immediately went numb upon hearing that. Terrified, Pam hid behind Welt and shouted at Theresa in panic.
"Didn't you say you weren't afraid?"
"And this change happened in front of everyone. I didn't deliberately hide my identity, except for the fact that I'm a follower of the Path of Immortality."
Colored flames burned in Theresa's hand as she explained herself to Pam.
"Who knows whether you'll blow up the train again, pa!"
"Pam never wants to fall asleep again!"
Pam shivered behind Welt as Pam shouted. Everyone immediately understood. So if something happened to the train, it would cause Pam to fall asleep?
"The Power of Joy is constantly being converted by Immortal Power. I may be affected somewhat by the Power of Joy, but that doesn't mean I'd disregard everything just for fun."
Only after a great deal of persuasion did Theresa manage to soothe the trembling Pam. Mainly because Immortal Power was simply too distinctive.
"Didn't the Immortal Dragon already fall? Why does passenger Theresa still have Immortal Power?"
Pam's question prompted Dan Heng and the others to explain that the fall of a Lord of the Path would not stop others from walking that Path. Paths would not disappear; they would only be merged or devoured.
Only then did Pam understand the source of Theresa's power. As for her claim that the Immortal Dragon had personally bestowed that power upon her, everyone preferred to believe it was an illusion. She had probably embarked upon this Path of Immortality for some other reason.
After all, many believed that Immortality had already fallen. Theresa couldn't be bothered to argue either, since she and the Herta Space Station System had arrived here by accident.
By the way, my little darling, a new mission has arrived. Defeat or kill Cocolia Rand. Reward: the Core of the Herrscher of Binding, and the kind unrestricted by Finality's Cocoon. I didn't arrange this; the mission list is gradually unlocking. It was likely the work of that Immortal Dragon.
However, a new type of Joy Points usable by you has been added. They can purchase various items within the system, such as the Crystal Brick and Otto's Green Hat.
Green Hat: Wearing this Green Hat grants Green Power, a support class belonging to the Path of Harmony. Those who are made to wear a Green Hat gain the "Of course I choose to forgive him/her" buff. Attack increased by 50%. Effect Resistance increased by 30%. Speed increased by 20%. Defense increased by 20%. Price: 1,000 Joy Points. Crystal Brick: The user shouts, "I shall reverse all things," summoning a projection of the Herrscher of Sentience to help the Brick's user attack enemies. The battle ends with the Brick flattening the enemy. Price: 2,000 Joy Points.
The Herta Space Station System's words made Theresa's eyes light up. For some reason, she felt that Green Hat suited Stelle perfectly. She had seen a golden Trailblazer of Harmony, but she had truly never seen a green Trailblazer. Wasn't that fun in its own way?
