After going without sleep all night yesterday and all day today, even Gordon, Gotham's King of Duels, was starting to run out of steam.

It was not until Cobblepot, accompanied by Butch, reached the window and knocked on the passenger-side glass that Gordon and Harvey suddenly woke up!
The first thing Gordon did upon opening his eyes and seeing Cobblepot's face was reach for the gun at his waist.
Harvey did the same.
Their nerves had been stretched far too tight by the Scarecrow.
"Whoa, whoa, don't be nervous." Cobblepot hurriedly raised his hands. "Officers, I'm not here to cause you trouble. I merely want to discuss a partnership."
Only then did Gordon and Harvey lower their guns.
It was not as if either man's impression of Cobblepot had changed in any fundamental way.
