With his legs trembling, Xu Yanwu made his way upstairs, one step at a time.
What the innkeeper could not see was that Fu Hua was still following behind Xu Yanwu, climbing the stairs one step at a time as well.
It was not that Xu Yanwu had never considered simply leaving, but he had already booked a room. Walking straight out would look far too suspicious.
Xu Yanwu decided to stay upstairs for a while before leaving and climbing over the wall to get back to his dorm.
After entering the room, Xu Yanwu found a chair and slumped into it.
Tonight's experience had certainly been thrilling.
"Fu Hua, if you're tired, get some rest first," Xu Yanwu said. "I'll wait here for a while, then head back."
After sitting down on the bed, Fu Hua shook her head. "I'm not that tired yet..."
"Then how about we talk about what happens in the future?"
Xu Yanwu suddenly grew interested. "I already believe what you said, but I'm still really curious. What exactly does my future self go through?"
Xu Yanwu turned the chair around and straddled it, resting his arms on the back and his chin on his arms, curiosity written all over his face.
"Is my future self really strong? And those people you mentioned earlier... who are Kiana and the others? Are they close to me?"
Xu Yanwu asked curiously.
After thinking for a moment, Fu Hua began telling Xu Yanwu what she knew, or had heard, about him.
She even recounted some of the experiences Xu Yanwu had once described to her himself.
Xu Yanwu listened to every word, nodding along.
"Head of the War Gods? Hahaha... so there are even war gods... that's not a bad name, though... wait! All that's left of me
