"Sleepwalking?"
Yae Sakura listened to Kiana's explanation and did not doubt her too much.
She merely asked with some concern, "Nothing will happen because of sleepwalking, right?"
"Nothing will. Don't worry, senior sister."
Kiana said, "I just happened to... happened to sleepwalk last night."
Kiana hugged her pillow and blanket as she stood up from the floor. "Senior sister, um... I'm still a little sleepy, so I'll go back and sleep for a while longer."
"Hm? All right."
Yae Sakura nodded. "I'll make some porridge. Once it's ready, I'll come get you."
"Mhm, mhm, mhm!" Kiana nodded hurriedly, then ran all the way back toward her room.
Leaving behind only a string of footsteps.
Yae Sakura looked around the room but found nothing.
However, when she looked at the idol, she inexplicably felt a warmth, like the sun.
That feeling made Yae Sakura reach out toward the idol.
But just as her hand was about to touch it, Yae Sakura suddenly clenched her fist and pulled her arm back.
"What am I even thinking? How could an idol possibly feel warm?"
Yae Sakura gripped her arm with her other hand, lowered her head, and scolded herself. "Yae Sakura, what nonsense are you thinking? You should go do what you're supposed to do instead."
With that, Yae Sakura did not look at the idol again and turned to leave.
She directly shut the door to the room where the idol stood.
The room containing the idol immediately fell into darkness.
"Kiana, thanks for the effort."
An old grandmother from Yae Village, who had even lost all her teeth, tremblingly brought several pastries out from her house and placed them in Kiana's hands. "You fetch water for this old woman every day. You're such a good child. Have some pastries."
