Yae Sakura refused the power Higanbana wanted to pass to her. As she fled, she maintained Higanbana's existence.

Holding Higanbana, Yae Sakura looked at the Six-Armed Giant behind her, then at the black-haired Rin who had been relentlessly pursuing her.
"No matter what you went through before, you're already a member of Yae Shrine now."
As Yae Sakura spoke, she channeled most of the power from a Command Seal into Higanbana's body. Higu Maru's power gradually stabilized as well.
"You have a kind side too. If you keep dwelling on the past, you won't be able to face your new life."
