To do so, he and Xu Nan had to go door to door through the fresh market in Stephenson's main city. In the end, under a wizard's reluctant gaze, A Kai legally requisitioned the pet rabbit named Feifei in the name of Law Enforcement Team business.

Xu Nan and A Kai appeared outside a standalone house. The latter carefully held the rabbit in his arms, muttering softly under his breath, though no one knew what he was saying.
"Are you casting some kind of spell?"
Xu Nan was puzzled.
"I'm a Demon Hunter, someone born cursed by magic. I can't use any spells."
A Kai glanced at him, continuing to stroke Feifei's head. Then he suddenly let go and allowed her to run off.
"However, we undergo special training and can use certain extraordinary abilities. They may not be as miraculous as magic, but they're very practical."
After explaining that, he followed the rabbit's footsteps and passed straight through the fence at the entrance.
Strangely enough, the Magic Alarm that should have activated made no sound at all.
"You seem pretty skilled at this."
Xu Nan copied him and followed behind A Kai. Seeing him press a finger to his lips, Xu Nan guessed that this was some ability capable of greatly disrupting Magic Alarms.
To wizards, such an ability was simply terrifying.
After all, they had become accustomed to magic and relied on it to a certain extent. If a Demon Hunter of A Kai's caliber broke into their homes while they slept, there was a high chance they would be silently killed.
No wonder Stephenson's wizards were so hostile toward Demon Hunters.
