Su Hao's mouth twitched slightly. "Just asking, Kyogre is your uncle, so what is Lugia to you?"
Manaphy placed its tiny hands on its face and thought for a long time, searching through its inherited memories for the impressions past Manaphy had of Lugia.
A moment later, Manaphy's eyes lit up. "Mana? Mana!" (Lugia? The auntie who's usually a little stern but surprisingly gentle!)
"..."
Sheesh... Prince of the Sea really had some impressive connections. Kyogre as an uncle and Lugia as an auntie—though there was plenty to complain about, it somehow made perfect sense.
Kyogre was fairly normal when he wasn't fighting Groudon, and Lugia was famously approachable. Su Hao even suspected that Lugia might have had something to do with the power that had previously stirred up the Water Spout around the Sea Temple.
Looking at it this way, Manaphy truly was the darling of the sea Pokémon, and even of the Legendary Pokémon living in the sea.
After talking with Manaphy for a while longer, Su Hao and Diancie finally expressed their wish to ascend and leave the Sea Temple.
Now that there was nothing wrong with the Sea Temple and Manaphy was in better condition than ever, it was time for them to return to the open sea and prepare to enter the High Seas Secret Realms.
After everything they had gone through, they could finally fulfill their promise to Articuno.
Though Manaphy was somewhat reluctant, it understood that while the seafloor gave it a sense of security, it brought Su Hao and Diancie an indescribable pressure.
Humans seemed to have something called thalassophobia. If someone like that had appeared among the Water Tribe who built the Sea Temple, their fate would have been utterly miserable...
All of that came from its inherited memories.
