"That's right." X-Hair nodded.

"No... no!" The boy seemed unable to accept reality. He suddenly clutched his head and thudded to the ground. "Impossible, impossible. I clearly liked you so much, liked you for so long."

His voice cut off mid-shout. The confusion on his face gave way to a flash of determination: "It's okay. I like you. I want to confess to you—"

"Go die!"

Before he could finish, X-Hair angrily swung her weapon, whipping up a fierce blast of air that sent him flying on the spot.

Chapter 6: Entrance Exam

That school incident was just a small episode. Since it was his last time here anyway, Su Lin didn't care what anyone thought.

His Quirk unquestionably qualified him to apply, and with his written exam score being the highest in the entire grade, getting into UA was still possible.

Time flew by in a blink. The next day arrived—February 26th.

UA High School, Hero Course, Exam Briefing Venue.

"So many new faces."

Maybe because there were too many seats, Su Lin couldn't spot any of the main characters from the anime for now. Most of the people here were probably extras—either eliminated in the exam or assigned to other classes, not worth paying attention to.

"So nervous, so nervous."

Torhu Hagakure, sitting next to him, curled up and kept repeating that phrase.

Just then, the lights in the venue flickered on one by one. A man with an exaggerated pompadour and yellow glasses stood on a distant platform, spread his arms, and let out an energetic shout:

"Examinees, welcome to my live show today! Everybody say Hey!"

Just like in the story, Present Mic explained the rules: students were divided into seven Exam Venues—A through G. Each venue had three types of Fake Enemies in large numbers. Based on their difficulty, they were worth 1, 2, or 3 points. Examinees had to defeat the corresponding Fake Enemies to earn points and meet the admission standard.

There was also a single 0-point Fake Enemy, designed to interfere with examinees. It was powerful, and defeating it was useless, so running away at first sight was the best option.

As Su Lin expected, during the rule explanation, that earnest Iida guy caused a scene and publicly called out Izuku Midoriya.

"No change in the Worldline."

Su Lin sighed at that. He just wondered if getting involved in the main storyline later would alter future developments.

While he was zoning out, Torhu Hagakure leaned over and whispered: "Su Lin-kun, which venue are you in? Are we together?"

Su Lin picked up the small card in his hand and glanced at the contents: Exam Venue B.

"I'm in A. Not together, too bad." Torhu Hagakure's voice carried some disappointment.

But the next second, she noticed something off about Su Lin's expression.

He was completely frozen, staring intently at the character card in his hand.

"Recognize me now?"

His voice shifted into a pleasant girl's tone.

"Huh? Huh... Eh? It's you?!"

Izuku Midoriya froze for two seconds, his face instantly turning bright red. He covered his mouth in panic.

He remembered—this was the girl who trained every day at Seaside Park. Her figure had left a deep impression on him. Whenever he couldn't hold on and wanted to give up, just thinking about her desperate effort would reignite his courage.

Su Lin awkwardly stepped back half a pace. He liked this passionate protagonist, but that look in his eyes was really annoying.

After blowing up the target, X-Hair looked around and found nothing but scrap metal everywhere. The other students had already eliminated the nearby Fake Enemies and were advancing toward farther targets.

"You've got to be kidding me—am I the slowest one?"

Though she'd stylishly sliced through two targets, she also realized her control over this body wasn't very smooth yet. Her immense power slipped out of grasp if she wasn't careful, causing the aftermath of her attacks to damage the surroundings.

And this entrance exam didn't allow students to harm each other.

X-Hair quickened her pace and dashed toward a more distant street.

A few hundred meters away, the main body, now transformed into Yukino, jogged leisurely.

Arriving at a certain intersection, a green-haired boy burst out from a side street.

"Midoriya?" Seeing this protagonist, Su Lin curled his lips in exasperation.

Having just inherited his Quirk, the poor kid couldn't use it properly yet. The ten months of training with All Might had only barely allowed him to withstand ONE.FOR.ALL; mastering it for sustained use would still be a challenge.

The moment they met, Izuku Midoriya's eyes went wide. "You again?"

"Midoriya, keep it up," Su Lin said, not wanting to cost him his chance at admission because of her. She raised her fist and called out to him.

Without another word, she immediately turned Yukino's body and ran off in the opposite direction.
