Regarding the Eldar, an ancient race that once flourished but is now rarely seen, Imperial scholars offer Much Speculation.

There is no doubt, however, that this race, which held dominion over the galaxy for tens of millions of years, has completely declined, lacking the formidable strength they possessed when they warred against the Human Federation thousands of years ago.

In that era of madness, the Human Federation and the Aeldari Empire engaged in a protracted war, yet neither could gain the upper hand.

The Human Federation's macho man manipulated time, the Aeldari Empire reversed cause and effect; these two Powerhouses fought until the starry sky itself was extinguished, only for the final record to show 0-0. It was all special effects with no actual damage, forcing a stalemate.

Just as they were deadlocked, the Iron Men Rebellion broke out within the Human Federation, and they fought until they were brain-dead. Just as they finally won and sought to recover, an unprecedented Warp storm struck, plunging them directly into the Age of Strife.

As for the Aeldari Empire, they were even more abstract. They abandoned their millions of years of stability to spend their days at home hosting orgies, relying on their immortality to indulge in every depravity imaginable—even self-immolation inside a star was considered trivial.

But the Eldar's self-destruction was not the end of it; they nurtured Slaanesh, the Big Daddy, causing their already filthy cesspit to explode and animating the other three monstrosities. The entire Eldar race was nearly wiped out, leaving only a few survivors clinging to life.

Thus, with the assistance of the C'tan, the Necron, and the Eldar, the Sea of Souls—once blessed by the consciousness of the universe—was beyond saving.

But for Mordred, he was more disappointed by the Eldar's appearance.

Unlike the elves in other fantasy works, the Eldar, while humanoid, were tall and thin like bean sprouts, their muscles stringy. Even if their faces were decent, they had no breasts! This was what Mordred found most unacceptable.

Watching the Primarch lost in thought once again, Kialan could no longer stand it. Ignoring the Space Marine soldiers around her whose gazes seemed ready to kill, she reached out and knocked on the table:

"Your Highness, if you want to increase the price, then just say it. I've already finished three cups of orange juice, and you haven't said a word, just staring at me and sighing. What are you doing?"

If she weren't in need of his help, Kialan would have fled long ago. Mordred's gaze made her skin crawl, and it was deeply mocking.

Even an Eldar could not endure such cold violence. Coming back to his senses, Mordred felt slightly awkward, but his flexible moral compass prevented him from truly feeling embarrassed.

"Since you asked so sincerely, I will show mercy and tell you: I am waiting for the right time. Don't ask why. You can have the Golden Tree, but you must trade it for the technology to open the Webway Gate."

"Impossible!" Kialan refused without a second thought.

"Your Highness, since you know of the Webway, you must understand what it means to us Eldar. Choose another condition; this one is absolutely not possible!"

Kialan Said Correctly. As the only safe and stable method of hyperspace travel currently in existence, the Webway was undoubtedly the lifeline of the Eldar. Even the Emperor launched the Great Crusade for the sake of the human Webway Project.

If she were to leak the technology to open the Webway, she, Kialan, would be the first to die. Every Eldar would do everything in their power to kill her, the Aeldari traitor.

But Mordred remained fixated on this condition; he wanted the Webway technology: "I don't care. Regardless, I will not trade without the Webway technology.

Furthermore, I tell you this: if you do not Hand Over the Webway technology, I will sacrifice these souls to Slaanesh. You wouldn't want to watch your own kin be captured as Star Slaves, would you!"

Hearing Mordred mention that name which Absolutely Cannot be spoken, Kialan broke into a cold sweat like a bristling wild cat and screamed:

"Are you insane? That is a red line that Absolutely Cannot be touched! You humans are so crazy; you have no idea what this represents. Stupid, short-sighted, barbaric!"

"Tch! I'm not an Eldar. This is a disaster you brought upon yourselves, yet you're trying to shift the blame to me."

Seeing that the other party would not budge, Mordred stopped pretending to be a good guy. He summoned a Pink Horror from the Ashen Herald and shoved it into Kialan's arms.

The other Atlas members also summoned their Demon Pal, surrounding the Pointy-ears with their minions.

Such a terrifying scene made the Eldar delegation tremble, their previous arrogance vanished. Fear from the depths of their souls compelled them to want nothing more than to leave.

But it was easy to enter and hard to leave. The Atlas, having been Long Prepared, stepped forward and used shackles to bind the aliens who had dared to act arrogant in their presence.

Only Kialan managed to keep her composure, though she lost her previous ease. She was truly afraid that these lunatics would attract Slaanesh; at that point, a Flesh Construct would be useless—she wouldn't even be able to die if she wanted to.

"Your Highness—no, my lord, let's talk this over. Can you put it away? I can't speak like this!"

Mordred, who could play along with the Emperor, had no such thing as a moral compass. He mocked her with a sneer:

"What? Now you want to talk properly? Don't think I can't tell—ever since you walked in, you've been putting on an act. There is no soul inside this body, yet you expected me to give you a pleasant look.

Kia! I am satisfied that you called me Highness, but I do not like this arrogance of yours, wherever it comes from.

I'll give you three minutes. If I don't see the real you, I can't imagine what crazy things I might do.

Tell me, if I used your name to find a random Ark World and sacrificed it, using those 13,724 souls, could I destroy it?"

Mordred's words burrowed into Kialan's soul like a viper. She was now certain that the giant before her was a madman; all that talk about being a World-shaking giant who loved life was a lie.

Achieving results through negotiation was impossible, so she had to resort to her backup plan:

"Are you trying to Activated the virus bomb inside your body?"

"How did you know?"

"Backup Hidden EnergyActivated..."

Squelch—

Two pitch-black claws pierced her chest, and her beautiful head was crushed on the spot, ending the last chance for resistance from this bean-sprout lord.

Glancing at the headless corpse occupied by the demon, Mordred wiped the brain matter splashed onto his face with his finger and praised the demon he had just shoved forward:

"It seems you aren't entirely useless, Hill. Throw this body out. You know what to do."

A familiar voice rang out, delivered in that satisfying High Gothic with a hint of a Terra accent:

"As you command, Master. I will not fail the Legion's cultivation!"

Meanwhile, on a stealth ship far away in the Asteroid Belt, a slender body soaking in nutrient fluid suddenly Opened Eyes. Her azure pupils dilated involuntarily, and she let out a suppressed growl.

Finally regaining consciousness, Kialan looked up and struggled to leave the Incubation Pod. She had to escape as quickly as possible; she Absolutely Cannot let this madman succeed.

Seeing no signs of intrusion on the ship, only a hole in a cabin where the air pressure had become unstable, Kialan steadied herself and stumbled out of the Secret Room.

But the Eldar did not notice that a single drop of blood was floating behind her, reflecting the Midnight Wraith known as Tom.
