Since he could not find an excuse to ask directly about the Ancient Species, he could only make a rough guess about the race based on Becky's description. The Ancient Species seemed to be a special race barely distinguishable from humans, and they spent most of their time living among humans as well. They were few in number and scattered throughout the world. They had no culture of their own and could be said to be a race that had completely assimilated into and coexisted with humanity. The greatest differences between the Ancient Species and ordinary humans were their long lifespans and outstanding combat prowess. Every one of their qualities far exceeded those of normal people, from their bodies to their minds. Many Ancient Species had become heroes remembered throughout history. Ofra was one of them, and the most famous in the past few centuries.
Beyond that, Hao Ren knew nothing about the origin of the name Ancient Species or why they possessed such traits.
Marshal Ofra was the most active descendant of the Ancient Species in the past few centuries. She had first risen to prominence several hundred years ago, when Horleta's ruler was the later-famous "Iron-fisted King," Gadon III.
