Twisted Woods, a place with an eerie atmosphere.
Its ecological environment was completely different from the outside world. Stepping into it could even give one the illusion of accidentally falling into an alien forest. There were no plants with green leaves in the woods. The leaves of every flower, grass, and tree were a purplish red with a faint metallic sheen. They looked alluring at first glance, but the longer one stared, the stranger they became. Most of the plants in the woods grew tall and twisted. One kind of waist-high shrub even grew in spirals like flames. Beneath the shrubs and in places with thick humus, strange fungi could be seen growing in clusters along the terrain. They looked somewhat like a combination of mushrooms and moss: large patches of pale-purple fungal tissue covered rocks and other plants, with umbrella-like structures growing abruptly from the tissue. These fungi thrived in dark corners and had vivid shapes, but no one knew whether this world followed the rule that the prettier the fungus, the more poisonous it was. Thick fallen leaves and other plant debris covered the ground everywhere in the woods. All the plants grew wildly according to nature's most basic laws, displaying a primitive appearance rarely disturbed by people.
Aside from those short plants that coexisted with the forest, the entire Twisted Woods contained only one kind of tree: a tall, crooked broadleaf tree with iron-gray bark. Its lower half had no branches at all. Its trunk grew high into the sky along a slight spiral curve, then suddenly burst into a mass of branching limbs at an extreme height. Its crown was covered with purplish-red, oval broad leaves. These broadleaf trees were scattered throughout the entire forest, and their appearances were almost exactly the same.
