Hao Ren decided that, no matter what, he had to bring her back and question her thoroughly—perhaps the key to entering Deep Sea City lay with this Siren.
Although the stranger Siren was somewhat reckless, she was not lacking in vigilance. It took several people half a day of negotiation before she finally agreed to return with Hao Ren. Lily was rather curious when she saw this: "Speaking of which, why are Sirens all such timid creatures? By rights, fearless creatures like you should be braver than anyone, shouldn't you?"

She slowly crawled over the edge of the tank, her upper body "dressed" in a beautiful layer of leather-like material, just like Nangong May's Siren form, while her lower body was a brilliantly patterned sea-serpent tail. Hao Ren immediately noticed that large patches of scales on her tail had already lost their luster, looking as though they had been burned by strong acid. No wonder she had said she was recuperating here. Her injuries were truly severe. Moreover, if even a Siren's constitution couldn't heal them directly, those wounds had probably not been inflicted by an ordinary enemy.
