Hao Ren had encountered many supernatural races on Earth—werewolves, vampires, shadow demons, descendants of gods, and Demon Hunters—but Mimir was unquestionably the most unusual of them all. This enormous head belonged to a Guardian Giant, a demigod servant created by the Creation Goddess. Guardian Giants had originally been responsible for supervising the various mortal races of the Dream Plane, so how had one ended up on Earth?
Hao Ren vaguely felt that if he uncovered the truth behind Mimir's arrival on Earth, he would be able to understand how the other supernatural races on Earth had crossed over as well.
A Demigod Guardian was unlikely to have been "blown" over here like the other supernatural races. Perhaps he had been carrying out some kind of mission?
Mimir looked a little confused after hearing Hao Ren's question. "Where did I come from? You mean the Wisdom Spring? Oh, I never expected you to be interested in it. It collapsed thousands of years ago along with the collapse of Yggdrasil's spatial chain..."
"That's not what I meant." Hao Ren waved his hand. "Where do you think the various supernatural races on Earth came from?"
At those words, the expression on Mimir's face quickly turned serious.
The old giant realized that the man before him was different from the shallow youngsters he had met in the past. This "human" had raised a rather fundamental question.
"Some scholars among the Demon Hunters have studied this matter." Mimir carefully considered his words. "Odin thought about it too—he was a clever fellow. None of their research produced any conclusions, but since you went out of your way to ask this question, I think you must have at least realized... that we aren't native creatures of this planet."
Hao Ren carefully watched the changes in Mimir's expression
