There had been a minor issue with the communicator's size, but contact with Mimir was established smoothly enough. The old giant was at Athens Sanctuary, overseeing the Shadow Council's initial operations. When the call connected, he still seemed terribly busy: Hao Ren saw a large number of documents floating around Mimir's Head, along with several signing pens scratching away across sheets of paper. There was even a laptop refreshing at lightning speed, its keyboard apparently operated by a pair of invisible hands as the keys clattered crisply. Clearly, Mimir's work had kept pace with the times.
"Ah, Hao Ren. Sorry you had to see me in such a mess. Even as a figurehead chairman, I can't seem to find any free time..." Mimir's voice came through as soon as the call connected, but he broke off halfway through his sentence when three enormous figures appeared in the holographic projection before him.
Of course, in the eyes of a Guardian Giant, those figures were hardly enormous. It was just that Hao Ren and the others looked far too small standing beside Muru and the other two. Mimir stared wide-eyed at the scene, as if he had finally realized something. He let out a string of indistinct sounds. "Oh, oh... So this is..."
"Your fellow kin," Hao Ren said. He stepped forward so Mimir could see him; otherwise, Muru would have blocked him completely. "I'm back in the Dream Plane. These are the 'survivors' I mentioned before: Muru, Lemendusa, and Siv."
Lemendusa took a deep breath, his face filled with excitement. "To see another fellow kin who survived—and a wise elder and brother worthy of respect at that—this is truly a day worth celebrating! I salute you, wise Guardian Mimir!"
A trace of confusion flashed across Mimir's face. "Do I know you?"
