The lightway platform was wrapped in a layer of pale-blue "clouds and mist." A nearby side palace and several buildings of unknown purpose were also shrouded in a faint blue glow. These beautiful-looking "clouds and mist" actually had a terrifying nature. They were degraded nether energy crystals reduced to dust, along with secondary radiation mist assimilated from those crystals. Though they were merely secondary, or even tertiary and quaternary, degraded products of nether energy, they were still devastatingly harmful to living beings. Inhaling even a small amount—or simply being exposed to them for a moment—would cause a healthy mortal to die rapidly.
After all, Hao Ren had specifically chosen the most radioactive dust and stuffed it into the "gift package" he had prepared.
Compared to the pale-blue clouds and mist, the small tactical nuclear warheads exploding farther away seemed almost ordinary. They had merely caused obvious damage to the mountains and some of the buildings. The craters left by their molten shock waves looked terrifying, but in reality, eighty percent of the Demon Hunters who had trained seriously, stayed focused, not suffered from diarrhea, and were not unlucky enough to be standing at ground zero could blink their way out of the blast zone the instant the warheads exploded. Of course, once they were driven into the blue mist-filled area covered in radioactive dust, there was nothing they could do.
Hao Ren had sent over a dozen nuclear warheads precisely to drive the guards into the radiation mist.
Traveling through the lightway was extremely fast. Hao Ren guessed that it probably used some kind of molecular reassembly transmission technology. He felt his senses briefly separate from his body, though his consciousness continued functioning normally. About two or three minutes later, the strange state finally ended, and the destination platform appeared
