The compact Giant Turtle Rock Platform maneuvered closer to the black battleship floating silently in space. The latter had completely lost its former imposing appearance. It floated quietly in the cold, dead darkness like a dying behemoth, bright arcs of electricity and clusters of light bursting across its surface from time to time. In the middle of the black ship, the sail-like crystal panels had been completely stripped away, and a massive wound had nearly torn the ship in half. Scorching red metal that had yet to fully cool could still be seen around the wound, while inside the breach were several partially closed bulkheads and damage-control mechanisms. Those systems were trying to plug the ship's atmospheric leaks, but the wound was simply too large for them to accomplish much. Large amounts of gas and fine debris gushed from several cracks in the black ship like splattering blood.
Hao Ren was not worried that the gas leak would kill the brain monster inside the ship. He had tested the creature's physical abilities before and discovered that it could survive for a long time in space. The black ship's airtight design was probably only meant to improve comfort, or was simply a physiological habit left over from when the brain monster had been a giant.
"The enemy ship's energy network is in disarray. Preliminary analysis indicates that its cannons have lost the ability to counterattack. The possibility of self-destruction has also been ruled out." The Data Terminal checked the data cautiously. After all, the black ship possessed a certain level of technological capability. If it decided to fight to the death and take them down with it at such close range, even a civilian vessel like the Giant Turtle Rock Platform might not escape unscathed. "This unit has found a route
