The tall mercenary in front lowered his head and glanced inside, then patted Hao Ren on the shoulder and sighed softly. "This goddamn age, huh?"
A blond girl in a miserable state lay crushed beneath the concrete ruins, and no one knew how long she had been dead. A horrifying hole had pierced through her chest and abdomen, large enough to see the ground on the other side through the wound. Around it, torn flesh curled outward, with things resembling electronic wires mixed among it. Upon closer inspection, those wires and tubes had actually grown together with the flesh. The girl lay on her back beneath the ruins, her hollow eyes wide open, as though her final gaze before death had still been fixed on the sky. The blood staining her long hair had yet to dry, leaving it damp and plastered against her face, making her look all the more desolate.
