The Golden Spaceship was enormous. Its long axis was probably around five kilometers, and it had an extremely symmetrical appearance. A series of rounded, curved metal beams and arched outer shells made it look like a strangely shaped, elongated giant beetle. One end of the ship was about three times broader than the other. A large number of parabolic golden structures extended from its thicker end and connected to its waist, forming a structure resembling a birdcage. Inside this birdcage-like structure were countless neatly arranged protruding devices. They might have been weapons platforms, or devices capable of producing some kind of unconventional destructive effect, such as a Gravity Weapon or Material Disintegration Device. Hao Ren believed that large spaceships built by the rebels would have at least these two kinds of high-tech equipment.
The golden warship drifted aimlessly at the gravitational balance point between Planet Sulun and its sun, showing no signs of being controlled by anyone. A series of faintly glowing, narrow grilles lined the rear half of the ship, but fewer than one-tenth of them were emitting strong energy reactions. Those should have been propulsion devices. Propelled by this small amount of power, the ship was moving at an extremely slow speed away from the sun, but it seemed unlikely to truly escape the sun's gravity—if those grilles continued to remain in this half-dead state.
Sunlight shone on the ship's outer shell, making it reflect brilliant golden light in space. It looked like a grand and imposing temple floating through the cosmos, yet there was no sign of life inside.
Giant Turtle Rock Platform kept several kilometers away as it circled the golden warship, constantly releasing probing signals of various frequencies. Nolan looked extremely nervous. "By the way, this thing isn't going to suddenly attack me, is it?"
