Now, he realized that everything seemed to have converged here and erupted all at once: the ancient Ankatro Family had lost contact with the outside world; the Chaos Shadow, once sealed away by ancient otherworldly beings like Vivian, had broken free; a Demon Hunter battle group had vanished after meeting with the Ankatro Family; and there was also the Sun Disc he had just learned about, whose various characteristics had caught Hao Ren's attention. This obscure little town in the Human world had unknowingly become the center of some kind of vortex, and the waters were growing murkier by the minute.
What exactly had happened here a month ago?
"What leads have you uncovered?" Hao Ren asked Bai Huo. "You arrived before us, so you should have made some progress."
Bai Huo shook her head slightly. "Not much. We can only confirm that Elder Amthura did enter the Ankatro Family's secret realm, but no one knows what happened afterward. I've answered quite a few of your questions already. Can you tell me what's going on with the otherworldly beings?"
"Er, I still want to emphasize that I'm not on the otherworldly beings' side. I'm neutral." Hao Ren raised a hand to stress his position before continuing with what he knew. "Those Chaos Shadows have caused major problems. Several families and sanctuaries have already been attacked, so quite a few old monsters are rushing around asking for reinforcements. Compared to the Chaos Shadows, hardly anyone cares about the Ankatro Family. Those old monsters spent ages arguing over who to send to investigate this matter. When they heard that the Demon Hunters were active around here too, none of them were particularly willing to take
