She Xuan began as an experienced Monster Cultivator and the organizer of ruin-exploration teams. She had worked with Zhu Bo several times, maintained a pawnshop in Langyu County, and was notorious among associates for her poisoncraft and deadly “snake kiss.” Her original bloodline severely limited her cultivation, despite her considerable experience and wealth relative to her former associates. 26 34 48 137

During an early cave-dwelling expedition with Lu Bei, She Xuan acquired a Bloodline Source and swore a blood oath to serve him for ten years; defiance would trigger lethal bloodline backlash. Refining the source transformed her essence and initiated a period of rapid growth. 34 50
