Background and History
Beastmen were among the races whose influence expanded after the six Racial Wars, alongside Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. Their rise helped move the Old Continent from the Bronze Tribal Era into the Silver City-State and Golden Empire eras. 59
During the Glory Era, the Beastmen declined after the disappearance of the Golden Behemoth. The race possessed no Golden Behemoth on the continent during that era and repeatedly paid Archmage City to locate the lost plane where it vanished. Twelve failed searches left the Beastmen deeply indebted and triggered twelve wars against creditors, further weakening them despite their eventual victories. 910
The Great Cataclysm affected Beastmen settlements differently across regions. The Beastmen discovered near Fang Yuan's territory had their souls plundered and replaced with Mist Souls, yet retained intelligence, leadership structures, and memories of civilization despite being perceived by Blue Star Lords as walking corpses. 29
Society and Territories
Tribal and noble rule
Beastmen societies range from primitive tribes to centralized states.
- Tribes retain distinct racial customs and may follow shamans or the Beast God; the Steel Fang Tribe was dominated by Wild Boar Beastmen and adapted a former Golden Flower Family garrison into a spiked, poison-vine-covered settlement. 39
- Beastmen nobles govern settled territories, maintain manor estates and military forces, and can gain status as Pioneer Lords through war merit. 968
- Nomadic grassland Beastmen are loosely governed by the Kingdom so long as they pay taxes, but became increasingly aligned with the Beast God after his descent. 972
- The Beastmen Empire of the sealed sub-plane is a major power centered on its Royal Capital and the Ancestor River. It maintains fortress lines, subordinate duchies, and a formal military hierarchy. 918 938
Relations with other races
- Beastmen have historically fought Humans, Elves, and the Dragon God Empire, while also ruling or exploiting subordinate peoples within their territories. 405 918 923
- The Beastmen Empire protected the Grassland Elves from the Dragon God Empire in a thirty-year war, but later pursued a prolonged strategy to subjugate and eliminate the independent elf tribes. 921 924
- In the Beastmen Kingdom, Humans are divided into competing city-states and territories to prevent them from forming a unified threat. 923
- Beastmen Lords are also a major presence among Blue Star's Lord factions; the White Eagle Beastmen faction is described as second in population only to the Human faction. 68
Appearance
Beastmen have no single uniform appearance; their bodies and battlefield roles vary by lineage.
- Wild Boar Beastmen — muscular warriors with large metallic-looking tusks. 29
- Tigerfolk — armored axe infantry known for berserker tendencies. 121 965
- Foxmen — noted for intelligence and commonly fielded as mage units or administrators. 131 924
- Centaur Beastmen — highly mobile cavalry and messengers. 396
- Behemoths — colossal bloodline warriors whose size traditionally reflects combat power among non-magical Beastmen. 931
- Catmen — agile Beastmen; Cullis can train Catmen and Rabbitmen into Dark Spear Assassins. 783
Abilities and Combat Traits
Bloodthirsty Battle Qi
A warrior power common among physically strong Orcs, Beastmen, and Humans. It substantially improves a warrior's combat ability after awakening. 30
- Beastmen commanders can use it to block low-level fire magic. 30
- Shamans can empower a formation of Beastmen with Bloodthirsty Battle Qi, allowing weaker warriors to resist mage attacks collectively. 30
- The Steel Fang Tribe fielded five hundred warriors who had awakened the technique. 40
Shamanistic magic
Shamans are high-status support figures who can strengthen troops and wield battlefield magic. 30 387
- Known war spells include Blood Spear Technique, Blood Shield Technique, and Soul Chain. 31
- Shaman support can cause Beastmen to enter Blood Rage after five treatments, temporarily increasing their attributes. 239
- Shaman legions are among the Beastmen's most dangerous formations; the Golden Shaman Legion was regarded as a major threat even to Demon-Breaking Warriors. 387
Behemoth bloodline inheritance
The Beastmen Empire's Tower of Legacy can awaken and amplify Behemoth bloodlines. 937 944
- Beastmen can be transformed into Black Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Dark Gold, or Seven-Colored Behemoth King-grade forms, depending on bloodline and inheritance conditions. 944
- Emergency bloodline infusions retain the recipient's memories but assimilate their soul; transformed recipients cannot maintain the form for long and die afterward. 937
- Cullis gained the Golden Behemoth King bloodline, allowing her to command all Beastmen races and use any Beastmen racial faction skill. 940
Military Forces

|---|---|
| Wolf Riders | Fast cavalry used for ambushes, scouting, and pursuit. Large concentrations can signal the arrival of an Orc main force. 357 391 |
| Tigermen Infantry / Berserkers | Fearless melee infantry; berserk Tigerfolk continued attacking despite heavy casualties and are capable of overpowering slowed cavalry. 121 965 |
| Foxman Mage Corps | One of the Beastmen Legion's principal offensive forces; vulnerable if cavalry breaks through the melee screen. 131 363 |
| Rabbitmen Archers | Rear-line ranged troops commonly protected by Tigerfolk infantry. 121 |
| Minotaur Heavy Infantry | High-health axe infantry with strong charging power; capable of overwhelming defensive golems through brute force. 392 |
