Could Hu San Be...?
"Awooo!"
Seeing the human pounce at it again, the wolf-shaped ferocious beast was both enraged and alarmed. It had actually been reduced to such a sorry state by a puny human. The other party was clearly weaker than it was, yet that human's body was nowhere near as fragile as it had imagined—in fact, it was even somewhat stronger than its own!
The wolf-shaped ferocious beast shook its head, which had been left somewhat dazed by the blow. That human had actually smashed its forehead inward and made it bleed, while its abdomen still throbbed painfully from the kick.
The thought enraged the wolf-shaped ferocious beast. Its mind was simple: being beaten into this state by a puny human was unacceptable. It had to tear that human apart alive!
"Roar!"
Violent energy surged throughout the wolf-shaped ferocious beast's body. It leaped into the air, arriving above Hu San, then dove down. Its two foreclaws gleamed with cold light, covered in a layer of energy as they viciously raked toward Hu San below!
Seeing that the situation was bad, Hu San rolled swiftly out of the wolf-shaped ferocious beast's attack. Even so, his back was still caught by the violent energy. With a ripping sound, the already-tattered clothes split open even further, and a large red, raw patch appeared across his back!
"Hmph!" Hu San grunted, a thread of blood escaping the corner of his mouth as he stared gravely at the wolf-shaped ferocious beast that had missed.
Clearly, Hu San was ferocious and his battle prowess was not weak, but he was still an entire rank behind. If not for his formidable body, he would probably have been defeated long ago!
