Chapter 74: Awakening (2)
The old man's gaze was razor-sharp. With one look, he could tell that Chen Yun's body had undergone specialized training.
"An exceptionally strong body? That's great! I won't have to go through so much trouble in the future! Hehe! A Child of God, huh? Tsk, tsk..."
The old man's eyes, already narrowed to slits, kept twitching, and faint glimmers of excitement shot from them.
After carefully examining the pale-green liquid in the pool and sensing that the energy within it was growing increasingly thin, the old man couldn't help but frown slightly. He sighed helplessly. "Sigh! This kid's body is practically a bottomless pit. If this goes on, he'll probably suck the Stalactite Liquid in this side cavern completely dry!"
Although the old man said that, his hands did not hesitate in the slightest. He made a grabbing motion with his left hand toward the pool where Chen Yun lay. At once, all the pale-green liquid inside was lifted into the air and rapidly converged toward his withered, stick-thin left hand. After a few breaths, a huge pale-green ball of water formed beside his left hand.
Having just finished that, the old man swept his right sleeve toward the surrounding depressions. In an instant, dozens of fragrant pale-green pillars of liquid rose into the air. Seeing this, the old man pointed at the pool where Chen Yun lay with his right index finger. Immediately, the dozens of pale-green liquid pillars seemed to be drawn by an invisible force and converged toward Chen Yun's pool.
"Gurgle..."
Not a single splash rose up. The dozens of liquid pillars arranged themselves obediently and slowly poured in. They looked like a fountain, except that the latter sprayed outward while the former converged inward—and the sound they made was barely audible.
