Iron Country lay in the north of the continent, where snowstorms were common and many places were blanketed in snow. It was the legendary Land of Iron.
Iron Country was close to the Land of Earth and the Land of Lightning, and bordered the Land of Fire, the Land of Waterfall, and the Land of Fields. It lay almost at the center of several countries, making it a strategic location. Yet unlike the Rain Country, it had never fallen victim to becoming a battlefield. Instead, it had maintained its neutrality and preserved peace within its borders.
There were no ninjas in Iron Country. Although it did have extraordinary individuals who trained in Chakra, their methods and system of cultivation differed somewhat from the ninja system prevalent throughout the Shinobi World. They called themselves samurai.
Iron Country possessed its own independent samurai culture, authority, and military strength. Long ago, the samurai and ninjas had reached an agreement, making Iron Country a permanently neutral nation.
Although all the nations had been embroiled in the first three Shinobi World Wars, Iron Country had strictly followed the rules and refrained from interfering. This had ensured its position and status as a neutral country, sparing it from the ravages of war.
But this time, Iron Country had changed its mind after the tailed beasts were captured one after another. It had chosen to take the initiative and contact the Land of Fire to reach an agreement, allowing Iron Country to become the venue for the Five Kage Summit. Mifune, Iron Country's leader, would also serve as the host of this summit.
In Iron Country's conference room, a meeting capable of changing the Shinobi World was taking place. The room held fewer than twenty people.
